For LA-based shoe & handbag designer Jerome C. Rousseau after the success of his evening shoe line the natural course would be, next step evening clutch line to go with his creations. And that is just the case with fabulous shoe designer Jerome C. Rousseau.
I’m definitely into the whole zodiac and horoscope thing. In fact, I follow it pretty religiously and I have an app on my phone about it. I’m a Leo and I’m so proud to be a Leo. We really are eccentric beings and we love being different. I mean, two of the most famous Leo’s are Jennifer Lopez and Madonna. My birthday is August 6th and it’s funny to know that one of my favorite comedic actresses, Lucille Ball, shared the same birthday as me.
At the moment, I have a huge obsessed with Kate Spade and I think a lot of other fashion lover’s do too! I’ve known about Kate Spade for years but I feel like in the past year she’s really blown up! What I love about Kate Spade is that the brand exudes class but in a girly girl type of way. I personally think Kate Spade is probably the cutest designer brand out there and really lets women stay in touch with their ultra feminine side. I’m still dying to own the “Is this seat taken #Handsome Stranger” Tote. I wasn’t able to get my hands on one but it would have been perfect for school! It was pink, adorable and oh-so-me. Sigh, maybe one day I’ll bump into one!
My husband and I went out to eat at the local rib place last week. Oddly enough, we go there together frequently. While we were there, I found myself staring at the old license plates decorating the walls. There were definitely some unusual personalized ones. I tried to picture the stories behind them. Obviously, the seemingly haphazard words meant something to someone at one time. And then I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be neat if you could take some old license plates and make something out of them? You can probably guess what that something would be too! Unfortunately, I don’t think I am crafty enough for that. However, I did find a piece that looks somewhat like my vision. Introducing the Kate Spade “OFFWEGO” Road Trip License Plate Clutch!
Who doesn’t love Hollywood glam? And for that matter, who doesn’t love movies? Nothing captures the imagination like the big screen! Well, it seems Charlotte Olympia couldn’t agree more with that statement. Her line has always been inspired by a bygone era of old Hollywood glamour. But her latest collection has taken this inspiration one step further. Hollywood glitz and glamour has suddenly taken on a more literal sense. Check out the Charlotte Olympia Box Office Pandora Perspex Clutch, for example. I think you will see what I mean!
This lovely clutch has the classic Pandora styling. There are two hinged halves that fasten together on top. Inside you will find the usual detachable zippered pouch. What makes this particular style so interesting is the design on the exterior. The clear perspex features a gold-tone metal adornment that resembles the outline of a film strip. I don’t think you can get anymore literal than that!
The look is certainly different and it would make a great conversation piece. I don’t think you necessarily need a Red Carpet-ready ensemble either. A simple little black dress would pair quite nicely with this piece. It would provide an excellent showcase, emphasizing and calling attention to the gold-tone film strip.
If you’ve read my blogs before, I’m sure you’re familiar with my obsession with evening bags. I’m the type of woman that if it was OK to dress to kill and look glamorous at every moment of the day, I would! How does a woman complete a glamorous look? With amazing accessories to finish off her look! I’m all about having beautiful bags and shoes because to me that’s what makes a look eye catching. People can like you’re outfit but most of the time they really zoom in on our accessories.
Founded in Germany in 2004, George Gina & Lucy is relatively new to the handbag world. I am not terribly familiar with the brand. In fact, my only encounters with the brand before now have been passing glances. However, after seeing the George Gina & Lucy Ni’Ihau Yeak Shoulder Bag, I felt compelled to do a little investigating.
George Gina & Lucy is described as an “ever-evolving collection of moving, living works of funky art”. Their handbags are geared toward the fashion-forward and modern woman, while still maintaining a sense of uniqueness that adds an element of playfulness to the mix. And when I look at the George Gina & Lucy Ni’Ihau Yeak Bag, that is exactly what I see! This seasonal-looking handbag features a natural cotton canvas exterior. It is very earthy-looking indeed!
For a little bit of color, this handbag also features a minty green leather panel on the front. The leather is actually woven together in a beautiful basket weave. This light and airy style is perfect for summer! I also like the black and white stripe lining and divided interior, which makes this handbag cute AND functional. Pair it with a floaty sundress for a great casual look!
I have a thing for clutches and if money were no option my closet would be full of them. I was able to score two of the Marc Jacobs clutches that were sold at Target and Neiman Marcus for their designer collaboration during the holidays. I use them both non-stop and what I love about clutches is that you can use them so many ways. Sometimes I store all my makeup in them, important papers, different nail polishes or I carry my essentials in them for the day. They’re so versatile and that’s why the Clare Vivier “Basketweave” Oversized Flat Clutch. Basketweave looks pretty on just about any accessory but the color is also gorgeous. Together the stunning color and basketweave make a lovely clutch that’s perfect for the Spring and Summer.
Nothing beats a simple, basic handbag. Okay, perhaps that statement isn’t entirely true. So what beats a simple, basic handbag? A simple, basic handbag at an incredible price! I am such a sucker for a good deal. So when I came across the Gorjana Bleeker Bloom Fold Over Bag, I could hardly contain my excitement.
