Obsessed: Alexander Wang Dumbo Clutch
Not exactly sure what’s in the name for this one, but nonetheless the ‘Dumbo’ clutch is one to be treasured. The Dumbo is as simple as it gets, which is what I personally look for in a day clutch. Basic spacious rectangular design with a side slip handle (love this look!). It’s a fantastic way to carry just the essentials like your wallet, keys, cellphone and lipstick. During the week just toss this clutch in your school bag or work tote then when you’re on your break or run a quick errand just grab and go.

As warm sun rays begin to make their comeback, so do the exotic colors in world of fashion. I am excited to see the two familiar themes of the Rocco and the Acid hue collaborated into one. The Rocco satchel has developed into a sports chic meets couture favorite. As this upscale duffle remains on my wish list, the option of color choices remains debatable.

Last year I bought the Alexander Wang Rocco in this vanilla white “Stone” color and absolutely loved it for the first couple days, then color transfer started to become an issue. Dark denim jeans being the main offender. And rather than deal with the every-other-day cleaning maintenance I exchanged it for the dark chocolate Rocco. So be warned, dark denims and white bags are not a good combination. However this is a white bag, and like most white bags they are meant to be worn during the summer months (unless winter white is your thing) so if you’re pairing this bag with a maxi dress or skirt, color transfer really isn’t going to be that big of an issue.

Matthew Williamson Embellished Suede Clutch $1,130.50 ($1,615)

With the holidays fast approaching, it is time to start thinking about gift ideas for that special bagista in your life. It is certainly no secret that bagistas love their handbags. But bagistas love other accessories too! So if your budget doesn’t permit the purchase of a gorgeous handbag, there are plenty of other options available. For example, who doesn’t like cool tech accessories? Bagistas love tech accessories just as much as the next gal, perhaps even more! So here are some gift ideas to help her jazz up her smartphone or other tech device.

Every fall/winter season is the same old story. There are your trends, of course. Deep jewel-like colors, sequins, fur, etc… etc. But there is one trend for this time of year that stands out from all the rest. I’m talking about animal prints! Leopard, cheetah, tiger, and zebra are your usual suspects… although I have seen some less common prints like giraffe. I don’t know about you, but when it comes to animal prints I tend to lean more toward spots rather than stripes. The problem with animal prints, however, is that they run the risk of looking gaudy. Definitely watch out for over-sized animal print accessories or even accessories with overly busy prints (like mixing more than one animal together). And don’t over accessorize with animal prints either! One piece is plenty! That is why I like the appearance of more animal print clutches this year. The prints are eye-catching, but the size is small. You really can’t go wrong! Plus they look great paired with your favorite little black dress. Check out these two styles I have pictured here! They are definitely my favorites so far!
Alaia Leopard Print Haircalf Clutch – $1670
A bit on the pricey-side, this gorgeous clutch features haircalf both front and back! This clutch is sleek, yet roomy. Perfect for holding your night-out essentials. I love the leopard print with the added shading. It makes for a more unique look.

I normally do not like white bags. I currently only own one white handbag and that is the Louis Vuitton “Multicolor” Speedy 30. Even though it’s not fully white, it’s pretty close to being an all white bag. Yes, it has a lot of color on it but my gosh is it hard to keep clean. I have to constantly clean it because you can easily see when it’s dirty. White bags can be very annoying but they are just like white cars, very beautiful and hard to say no to. One of the most gorgeous white bags I’ve seen in quite some time is the Alexander Wang “Pelican” Satchel.
