Anya Hindmarch Ipanema Straw Clutch

Straw handbags are everywhere right now. But I suppose that is to be expected, given the fact that summer is just around the corner. When it comes to straw handbags though, they typically come in the form of a beach tote. Surely, there is nothing wrong with straw beach totes. It’s just that it’s more fun to see this material being used in more unexpected ways. That’s why I’m loving the Anya Hindmarch Ipanema Straw Clutch!

Yep, it’s straw and it’s a clutch. But don’t be fooled, there are no “beachy” themes going on here. Quite the contrary! From a distance, the design of this clutch sort of reminds me of folk art. Upon closer inspection, you will find that this clutch actually features a variety of weaves. The background is a large, traditional basket weave. The trim is made up of various types of tiny weaves, giving this clutch a great deal of detail and depth. And for a little added color, there are also some red and yellow faceted resin beads thrown into the mix. The result is a cute little clutch with a whole lot of whimsy! Pair it with a white cotton sundress for an adorable summer look!
