Cross Body bags are the hottest trend right now in the handbag world. I never use to like them but now I’m craving to have one and I’m not even a trendy person. I normally do the opposite of what the latest trend is but I have to admit I want a cross body bag so bad! I thought I wanted a black one with gold hardware, since that seems to be my favorite handbag combination when it comes to color, but I think BE & D made me fall in love with “Pippa”. The BE & D “Pippa” Bag is drop dead gorgeous and I pretty sure I need it. Some may say that I want it but no, I in fact need this cross body bag!

The whole stud trend may have came and went, but I still love them it pieces. I’ve never been the type to follow trends, and if I love a trend so much I will rock it until I feel it’s time to let go of it not the fashion industry. To me, studs go hand-in-hand with the whole edgy look which is what I wear most the the time.

It’s just about that time of the year where we pull out our lighter colored handbags from the back of our closets and flaunt them out for the warmer months ahead. The straws and florals are always pleasant to the eye, but it’s the Neutral toned pieces that end up the winners year round.
The attractive hue dresses up any accessory, giving it an appealing feminine vibe. So it comes down to a matter of style and of course, the exact shade of the buff.
The Teague Bag by Be&D brings style and convertibility in a shade they call ‘Beach’. Glossy leather pleats and wrap around banding gives it a hip and modern look. It’s the ‘Tan & Nickle’ Rowan satchel that shows off a classier appeal as true top handles are always attractively chic. For some, it’s all about the more you have, the merrier.

Be Inthavong and Steve Dumain founded and launched Be & D in 2004. Today Steve Dumain is the creative director and all of the handbags are designed and produced in New York’s Garment District. Be & D’s first design, the “Garbo”, became such a hit that it still is one of the most popular bags the company produces. The “Garbo” collection consists of belts, mini bags, satchels, totes, and wallets.
Almost everything the company designs features a type of stud on it. The studs range from tiny to large and gives the designer brand an edgy but stylish look.

One of my ultimate favorite designer brands is Be & D. My fashion style is broken up into two categories: Classic Fashion and Rocker Fashion. I love both styles, but I find myself alternating between the two quite often. I would say I’m more of a rocker chick during the day and a classic fashionista at night. I love the look of the whole rocker chick look, but at night I do love to dress up.
Be & D, in my opinion, are the perfect handbags to go with a rocker chick look. They have that edgy look to them, and the black with gold hardware is always a great accessory to any rock look. Also available in leopard print with gunmetal hardware.
My current love of all the Be & D handbags is the “Capra” bag. I’m normally not a fan of small bags because I tend to carry everything you can imagine in my bag but I really do like this one. Shoulder style bags were never my thing, but I’m learning as I get older that sometimes it’s a good thing to give your arms or back a break and just let loose. When you have a shoulder bag it’s a lot easier to move around and shop!

The term “Stay At Home Mom” is such a misnomer. No matter what age my children are, I am never home for too long. Whether it’s school, appointments, grocery shopping, kids activities or just trying to squeeze in a little me time, a mom is always on the go. She always has to be prepared for what’s needed too. When my children were little, it was spare diapers & wipes and a change of clothing. Now that they are older, I don’t need as many extras, but a big bag always comes in handy.
Personally, I think the perfect bag for a Stay At Home Mome has to be large, versatile and well-made. She’s busy and doesn’t have alot of time to change out bags, so they must go with everything. It needs to be large so that she can hold the necessities and then some. And it should be well-made so that it resists spills, dirty hands and anything else live throws at it! So, I spent some time over at Shopbop and came up with some fabulous items!
The quilted nylon Tory Burch Jaden Tote is sophisticated, roomy and sturdy. With rolled, double-handles for comfort, they are long enough for shoulder wear. A very roomy interior with side pockets will hold tons of stuff. It’s available in black and dry orange for $350. Although, items tend to get a little lost sometimes, that problem can be resolved by zip pouched accessories like the darling striped Rebecca Minkoff pouch set for $95.

Sequins has been everywhere this year. Anything that is considered fashionable has featured sequins on it in someway so it’s no surprise that designers also felt the need to capitalize on this trend. BE & D was one of the designers that that incorporated sequins on their handbag designs.
BE & D is currently one of my favorite handbag designers. Their designs go well with my edgy style and they definitely have handbags that look like no other brand out there. I have to admit though, I’m not a fan of sequins. It always makes my skin itch, and I feel it’s more a night trend. Someone that wears sequins during the day always looks so silly, but who am I to judge?

Hayden Panettiere arrived for the screening of the new animated film Alpha and Omega at the BFI Southbank in London. She was spotted wearing a silver sequin tee shirt, black jeans, rose gold Michael Kors watch, nude Christian Louboutin pumps and Be&D’s gorgeous Cheshire clutch.

Steve Dumain, the Creative Director behind Be & D has been working on a little secret handbag project that’s about to make it’s big national debut, tomorrow on QVC!
The new Line, called Roccatella isn’t a sister or secondary line to Be & D, but an entirely new collection.
