thrifty thrill: Bottega Veneta ‘Knot’ clutch in green apple

Bottega Veneta green apple woven satin 'Knot' clutch

Thrifty thrill of the day can be spotted over at online designer deal boutique Bluefly – earlier this week they just got a bunch of new Bottega Veneta handbags in stock from the current spring 2009 season. One of the bags that caught my eye is this adorable little dressy satin woven Bottega Veneta ‘Knot’ clutch in green apple. Yummy.

What is it that I like most about this clutch? Well, I am totally in love with the Intreciatto woven style, which the Italian luxury leather house is famously known for. I’m not really big on signatures – it gives me like a walking advertisement feeling. Don’t get me wrong, I adore and obsess over LV as well as those other designers that sometimes write their names allover their bags, but it’s just not something I would add to my bag-drobe. I like subtle signature styles, where the signature can be found inside the bag – which Bottega is loved by many for.

The clutch, which by the way is still retailing for the full price of $1150 over at net-a-porter, is currently going for only $920 over at Bluefly. That’s 20% off retail! That’s usually the mark down point for their Designer Bags, while the Contemporary Purses are now all marked at 40% off retail.

The amazing designer deals don’t end there. Definitely check out their newly added section.

The apple green is so delicous. I have this clutch, but unluckily I purchased it from NAP last week. I wonder if I can still return it?

Great find. I can’t believe it’s offered for much cheaper over at that site.

Their “contemporary bags” are 40% off? Is that something new?

I totally agree with you about feeling like an advertisement. I’ve always had the belief that just because your bag has name written all over it, doesn’t mean you are fashionable. lol

And yay this green is just TDF.

I think this would be great for spring, but when winter rolls around I don’t think this would be a popular color.

Jennifer and FashionAus I agree with both ya guys. That sounds like something I would say. lol. The name belongs in the bag, not scribbled all over the exterior.
