Bryna Nicole is sort of a funny designer. Funny in the sense that you don’t hear anything about them for awhile and then a new design will just pop up out of the blue. Okay, not completely out of the blue. After all, Bryna Nicole does produce a new collection each season. It’s just that you never hear about it. And I think that is such a shame because I really love Bryna Nicole handbags. So when I stumbled across the Bryna Nicole Paslisade Clutch, I figured it would be a good idea to spread the word so the speak!

One thing is certain, you can never go wrong with a brown leather hobo! That’s why I am loving this one from Bryna Nicole called the Serrano Bag! I was actually delighted to see this bag pop up because I haven’t seen much Bryna Nicole stuff floating around recently. The San Francisco-based designer is definitely on my list of favorites, I just love how her pieces can blend in beautifully with just about any woman’s wardrobe. The styles are so easy to wear!

Founded in 2006 by former stylist and consultant Bryna Nicole McMills, Bryna Nicole is known for producing must-have handbags for busy, on-the-go women. The San Francisco-based company prides itself in creating handbags that combine uptown sophistication with downtown originality.
According to McMills, the Bryna Nicole design philosophy places emphasis on accessories that last from season to season. Perhaps the most famous and easily recognizable of these timeless styles that Bryna Nicole has brought to us is the Loyola Tote.
Other popular styles include the Hallam Clutch, the Idora Hobo, and the Bartol Satchel. McMills’ ultimate design goal, however, is “to create a stylish handbag collection that portrays the mood of the woman carrying the bag”.

Lately, I’ve had an obsession with clutches. Small, Normal or even oversized I love clutches. I love the fact that I can just put them under my arm or carry them in my hand and I go on my way. Sometimes it does get annoying carrying my big heavy bags around and with a clutch I can carry my essentials and thats it.
The first thing that caught my eye about the Bryna Nicole “Bay Stingray” Cross Body Bag/Clutch was the name! I think stingrays are one of the most beautiful in marine life so I instantly had to check the bag out when I read the name.
What I also liked about the bag is that from the picture it looks as if the bag is adorned in crystals, which is not the case. I would love to see in person if from far away if it looks like crystals also. Definitely an obstacle illusion in the stock photo.

Bryna Nicole Handbags
When Jennifer asked me to do a post about Bryna Nicole Handbags, I have to admit, I had absolutely no clue where to start. I have heard the name Bryna Nicole before, but I wasn’t very familiar with her handbags at all. In fact, the name has only popped up a handful of times over at tBf. So I set out to find some information about this designer and I came back pleasantly surprised. Bryna Nicole Hubbs was born and raised in San Francisco and she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising there. Always interested in fashion, she didn’t discover her passion for accessories until she became a fashion consultant for a high-end clientele base. For her, a look just isn’t complete without the perfect shoes, jewelry, and (of course) handbag to go with. When it comes to Bryna Nicole’s style philosophy, a handbag should be meant to last season after season. All of her styles are classic, yet expressive in their own unique ways. She appreciates luxurious materials and fine craftsmanship, which can easily be seen in her handbag collections. For the Fall and Holiday 2008 Collections, Bryna Nicole has a little something for everyone — from functional, everyday bags to playful, night-on-the-town clutches. I really like the variety and attention to detail seen in all of her styles, big and small. Plus they all seem to have a real down to earth feel about them. Below are a few of my favorites:
The Minna Slouch – With it’s large size and unstructured style, this bag is great for everyday use. It retails for $517. Currently available in Red Patent, Cream, Grey, and Chocolate.
The Loyola Satchel – As seen on the Gossip Girl, this style returns for another season after being the company’s number one seller in 2007. It retails for $539. Currently available in Violet only.
The Hallam Clutch – A gorgeous clutch featuring pleats and tone-on-tone accents. It retails for $198 – $218. Currently available in Chocolate, Violet, Cream, Grey, Red Patent, Teal Suede, Yellow, and Black. It is also available in exotics and metallics (Holiday 2008 Collection).
The Rosemont Clutch – A larger, more roomy clutch that features a lovely gathered look. It retails for $320 – $440. Currently available in Navy, Gold, Silver, Bronze Croco, Gunmetal Croco, and Fuchsia Croco (all from the Holiday 2008 Collection).

The Bryna Nicole Loyola Handbag
San Francisco-based handbag designer Bryna Nicole has designed the perfect handbag that “portrays the mood of the woman carrying the bag. This mood can be confident and strong, innocent or playful – it is always a little funky and somewhat functional. The woman that I design for has a strong personal style and is fashionable and worldly. She appreciates fine fabrics and detailed construction. Items are meant to last from season to season, rather than fade with the latest trends. They are classic yet expressive and can represent personal changes in style from one outfit to the next.
The best-selling gem of her collection is the Loyola handbag pictured above. The body is made of grey goatskin material with a canvas interior. This bag features tonal suede trim, a spacious easy access front exterior pocket, and two signature braided handles with an interwoven antique brass chain. This tote also features a removable long strap, in case your arm gets a little tired from toting it around all day.
