A favorite among celebrities, CC Skye has always made good looking handbags! My all time favorite style from this designer is probably the Turner Hobo (as seen on “Gossip Girl” Katie Cassidy). But I stumbled across a new CC Skye handbag that I think will become a very close second! Introducing the CC Skye Lady Bag!

Just like its name implies, this bag is very lady-like. The simple name is complemented by a simple trapezoid shape, which starts larger at the bottom and tapers up toward the top. I love the flap front and classic “mademoiselle”- like twist lock closure. I also like the croc-embossing adorning the flap, which adds an little extra hint of luxe to this style without taking over the entire bag.

Katie Cassidy was shooting a new episode for Season 4 of Gossip Girl with co-star Chace Crawford at Columbia University last Wednesday. Her outfit consisted of a light gray ruched dress topped with a navy blue pinstriped blazer. Her look was accented with a multi-strand pearl necklace. Classy! The CC Skye Turner Hobo is the perfect everyday bag. I love the classic hobo shape and the gentle pleating detail. The leather is super soft, but lightweight as well. The gold tone hardware and studs are understated, drawing the eye in and holding your interest without taking away from the overall look of the bag. It isn’t classic, but it isn’t trendy either. When it comes to CC Skye, I can’t help but envision the infamous Lucy Bag. It seemed like that boxy-looking satchel with its braided handles was floating around everywhere, especially after Lauren Conrad was seen sporting her black one. For some reason, that particular style is just etched into my mind. Perhaps it is because it is so distinct looking? I just don’t know. There’s some serious fringe going on here and I can’t decide whether I like it or not. It’s those handles that make this piece stand out from the rest, as most of us are probably used to seeing the trendy fringe style dangle off the handbag itself, not so much off the carrying piece.

CC Skye brought this incorporation of gunmetal and silver fringe to its Leather Bridgette Purse, a handbag that will get a great amount of looks towards your way. I like the flap and turn lock style but although the chained fringe is quite appealing, I wonder if this is what ‘too much fringe’ looks like.

Your chains will swing to every move you take, and your peers might just be able to hear you as you approach them. Just do hope you can sustain the chain clutter off your arm, as this bag might just weigh you down a bit.

Pair this with dark clothing for a night out in town, and it’ll give your look a whole new meaning to the term heavy metal.

When I first took a glimpse of the CC Skye Niki Clutch, I instantly thought of Versace. When taking a quick look at the clutch you would literally think that it’s a piece by Versace due to the gold hardware. It’s not until you look closer that you can see that the clutch is in fact by CC Skye.

The CC Skye Niki Clutch comes in three different colors: Black; Electric Blue; and White. My favorite color the clutch comes in would have to be Electric Blue. The Black and White versions are also stunning, but the actual color of the blue is gorgeous and is more unique than the others.

Whichever color you choose, you can’t go wrong. Each CC Skye Niki Clutch would be stunning for either day or night. The clutch isn’t too casual or fancy, making it quite versatile. You could wear this clutch with either jeans and a top or an evening dress and it will still look fabulous.

The CC Skye Niki Clutch can be purchased in all three colors at Couture Candy for $310. The price is a little bit much for a clutch, but no one can deny that this clutch is a pure beauty.

CC Skye Medium Bag
After seeing “Hills” starlet Lauren Conrad sport a bag by CC Skye, I thought I’d check out what other bags they have in their collection. And after visiting their website, I totally fell in love with the Skye Medium Bag in Tobacco. The gold hardware, which is actually 18k gold plated, really compliments the smooshy brown leather. This bag is luxurious, classic, and stylish all in one. The interwoven leather chain strap detail somewhat reminds me of classic Chanel, and I could see how some might think it looks Chanel-inspired. But for me, it doesn’t matter because it’s more of using a similar style and this bag is just lovely. It’s even reasonably priced at $695.

This bag also comes in black and creme if you’re not a fan of the tobacco. Another thing that is super about this purse is the fact that you can remove the straps and wear them as chunky bracelets, which are sold seperately by CC Skye, and have been a favorite accessory of many celebs including Nicole Richie and Hillary Duff. Also what’s great about this bag is the leather shoulder strap it comes with. So if you’re carrying it by the chain straps and your arm gets tired, you can just comfortably throw it over your shoulder with the flat strap.
