It's your average City intersection - horns, people yelling, etc. Also I don't know about other city dwellers, but once you live in the city for more than a handful of years, you just start to ignore all that noise. Or see me. There are 3 lanes, I was in the far left, she was crossing from the right to my side..by the time she was in front of my car it was way too late. It's a high-traffic intersection crosswalk - crowd of 30+ from each side crossing paths. She was in my sight for only 4 seconds max. If I was behind her at that cross-walk or saw her on the street, I would have of course said something. If there was a chance that she could hear me.
