Purse Trend: Black with a touch of Gold
Have you gone purse shopping lately and noticed the increased number of black and gold bags? They’re everywhere. From online to instore, this trend is all over the place for this up-and-coming fall season.
Personally, I’m more of a black and platinum/silver type of girl, so I doubt I would rock one of these bags. Well except for the Chloe Gold Bow Clutch. That one is just simply adorable.
What do you guys think? Is this black with a touch of gold trend something you crave?
Here are the bags:
Chloe’s new vintage-inspired Bow Clutch evening necessity will hold everything you need for your night out and will do so while looking fabulous. The black crinkled leather body features a magnetic flap closure, a detachable thin leather strap and topped off with an eye-catching big bold gold bow.

Need something a little more structured? Block-like? Jimmy Choo’s new Carlotta evening clutch is a bold statement piece that would accessorize you well on your little black dress occasion. The body of this rectangular-brick is made of black patent leather with gold metal bars stapled on the sides. The mouth of this clutch is kept shut with a signature clasp fastening on the top that pops open to reveal the suede interior lining with lilac trim.

It’s Zac Posen’s popular Aurora Frame Bag. Made popular by being seen on the arms of many stylish celebs like ex-Oc’ers Rachel Bilson & Mischa Barton. I wonder if any of the Zac Posen Celeb fan base will pick this one up for their collection..
The doctor-style bag is now available in grained black leather with contrast metallic gold leather frame and base. This bag also features matching gold hardware, clasp fastening on top with signature hexagonal detail, and feet on the base – because who really uses purse hooks? Lavatory floor, there’s already hooks on the door. Restaurant, I pull up an extra chair.

As seen in Vogue Magazine for bags to have for fall, it’s the Anya Hindmarch Bogart Bag. Well I think this one is a lot more appealing than what she has been coming out with lately, uhh, “Girls Need Bags – “I’m Not a Plastic Bag. No words, a nice improvement.
This shiny patent bag is trimmed with a gold-ish-bronze metallic panel detailing, accessorized with matching gold hardware, designed with feet on the base (good to have), decorated with the designers embossed plaque, and finished off with a secret pocket on back (by your bod).

The newly released Pierre Hardy purse has already been linked to Cameron Diaz. She owns my favorite version, the soft gold with silver trim ( *beautiful* ). This one, which is supposed to be the latest trend, is the black patent duffle-style (not really a duffle, its small) unstructured purse, which features thick yellowish-gold thin trim, multiple convenient exterior pockets for easy access, and a roomy interior.

Like I was saying in the forum, I’ve never liked gold hardware or trim on a bag. I love silver
I really like the Zac Posen purse. To me the shape is more classic than the other. My second favorite is the chloe bow. Its just fun, for my youthful side
if there wasnt so much gold then i would like. my favorite is also zac p one, but if it was all black i would get it in a heart beat.
I love the zac posen bag. everything about it just screams hot for fall. the frame, the black patent leather with gold trim, the vintage shape. i will definitely add this one to my wardrobe.
I somehow like the Chloe clutch -just to look at,though I really am not for the need for one and generally don´t like Chloe bags at all.

.......... Personally, I’m more of a black and platinum/silver type of girl, so I doubt I would rock one of these bags. Me Too! I've never liked gold hardware or trim on a bag. Silver is definitely favored over gold in my closet.
Hmm... I don't like gold too much either. The only time I am tolerant of it is if I want a particular stone in a piece of jewelry and it looks too washed out with silver. And for some reason... you always see gold with red or brown. Black and gold isn't very common at all. Hmm... perhaps that's why some people will like this trend, huh?
I really like the Zac Posen frame bag.....I would definitely rock it....
The only gold i have is on my juicy bag.. but besides that, im not too fond of gold.
