Christian Dior Cell Phone
What type of cell phone do you Bagista’s carry? In the past couple of years, high-end designers have followed the fad of releasing cellular phones made exclusively to trademark their brand. Some infamous couture designers who have followed this trend include, Dolce & Gabanna, Prada, Gucci, Chanel, and now, French designer Christian Dior who has recently released its own piece of couture technology.
This sleek phones most obvious trait is Christian Dior’s Cannage design featured throughout the entire cellphones’ exterior. More features found on the Dior phone includes a Mini Camera, touch screen display and an extender for your phone that is meant to clip onto a woman’s handbag, or better yet, a woman’s Christian Dior handbag. A set retail price hasn’t been released for the Dior phone, but a limited edition diamond encrusted “My Dior� phone’s will be available for retail price tag of $5,000!!!
So what do you Bagista’s think about Dior’s cellular phone? Do you find this phone to be amazing, rare and a great investment (that’s if you have the 5K to drop on a cellphone) or do you find this product to be incredibly useless, since, it’s really just a cellphone?

I love the quilted detailing, but to be totally honest with you, $5k is way too much. I would rather buy the dior phone case in from this quilted line for under $600. Lol.
Oh cuteness. Really don’t like the price though.

Here's the WWD article on the super cute new phone a Lady Dior handbag for tools; an oval-shaped mirror for images. All the software, built-in videos and imagery are exclusive to Dior. The same in-house team that created Dior's Christal watch with couturier John Galliano was charged with the phone's design. It will be unveiled tonight at Dior's flagship on Avenue Montaigne here. Citing positive feedback for the product in focus groups, Toledano said he anticipates strong demand worldwide, particularly in emerging markets where a young customer base and strong economic growth are fueling a boom in luxury products. This includes Russia, the Middle East, China and Hong Kong, along with tourist destinations such as Paris and Monte Carlo, he noted. Because of technological barriers, Diorphones that work in South Korea and Japan will be launched in a second phase. Toledano said he expects the mini My Dior phone, which functions like a Bluetooth, will be a key attraction. Dior has an exclusive on the feature, conceived by ModeLabs, for more than a year. "It's a real breakthrough," he said. Dior plans to sell the phones within its watch departments, starting in France on June 16, and has developed point-of-sale fixtures and display units for specialty retailers. An advertising campaign is being readied for the holiday selling period, and Dior is plotting a series of events and celebrity tie-ins to promote the phone. A battalion of fashion firms lately has unveiled cell phone ventures, including Giorgio Armani, Levi's, Ted Baker and Tag Heuer, following Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, each of which have sold around 500,000 units of their signature cells.

i dont know about the diamond encrusted one. but i think the ones pictured are cute. i'd get one if they weren't too pricey and compatable w/ verizon.
