Christian Louboutin is my favorite shoe designer. I do not own a pair of Louboutin’s but I can’t wait till the day I have my very own Carrie Bradshaw closet. You know, the one Mr. Big surprised her with in the “Sex and the City” movie? Even though they ended up moving, he literally had an empty mini mall made for her in their apartment! Ms. Bradshaw had a thing for Manolo Blahnik‘s but if I had a closet like hers it would be full of Christian Louboutin heels!
High heels are my first fashion love, second is evening bags. Therefore, when my eyes spotted the Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” Crystallized Clutch I nearly died! My mouth dropped because I truly believe this evening bag was made for me. You obviously can’t fit much in this clutch but who cares! It’s obviously a statement piece that deserves attention. If you were to walk with this clutch in your hand by any fashion loving woman, they would either stare at it or ask you about it. I know I would!
20 years ago legendary designer Christian Louboutin opened his first boutique on 19 Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Paris.
In celebration of the designer’s 20th anniversary, he has created a special Capsule Collection. One of the pieces dressed up for the celebratory collection is the Artemis.
The Limited Edition ‘Artemis Paris’ features a ruffled satin appliqué and handcrafted multicolored crystal-covered sculptural model of Paris, City of Lights. The Artemis collection is well-known for it’s head-turning spectacular decorative shoulder pad, but this one tops them all. I love the detailing!
The season for fur is just about gone, but animal prints in general will never go out of style. Animal prints are hot! There is just no other word to describe them. Gorgeous mandarin red-orange suede! That is what caught my eye when I first saw the Christian Louboutin Loubis Angel Clutch. I think it was love at first sight. Really! But I have always been a little partial to suede handbags. They are just so luxurious looking!
Upon closer inspection, however, I began to realize there was more to love about this clutch than just the suede exterior. I absolutely love the embroidery! It reminds me of the ethnic patterned scarves and skirts that hang from the walls of my favorite boutique featuring a lot of free-trade items. The colors really pop against the background. Plus the loops and squiggles add an element of whimsey to this piece. I’m also liking the unusual shape. The upturned corners are certainly unexpected! And, although it looks a little bit out of place, what Christian Louboutin clutch would be complete without the stiletto clasp? Those little high heeled shoes are too cute for words!
As the season approaches, there will be plenty of holiday parties from casual to formal. You’ll need a showstopper clutch (or two) to add life to the party! Check out some of my favorites this season!

Wow! Christian Louboutin sure has had some edge recently! Perhaps this designer is hoping to be recognized for more than their signature red soles? Each and every shoe is a jewel, yes. But the handbag designs I have been seeing from this designer lately have been jewels as well! Or I suppose in this case, it would be a real stud! Haha! I love glitter nail polish! It is such a fun way to spice up your manicure! But there is also something I hate about glitter nail polish. It is super hard to get off! Scrub it with nail polish remover all you want, it just doesn’t want to budge. If only I could get that glitter look without the headache of switching to something new the next day. Wait… maybe I can. What about a glittery handbag? Certainly not for everyday use, but super cute for a night out!
