Warm weather and knit (or woven) handbags sort of go hand in hand. Everything from raffia to yarn can create a light and airy summer look. For this reason, they have been extremely popular seasonal styles year after year. But what about using other materials? And (gasp!) could knit handbags be for other seasons besides summer? Can a knit handbag even fit this description? Yes! Yes it can! Meet the Diane von Furstenberg Sutra Knit Hobo!
The classic Diane von Furstenberg Sutra Hobo has been transformed into a rather unique-looking piece. This lovely handbag features metallic gunmetal and anthracite strands of leather knit into a rich texture. The contrasting metallics are on opposite sides of each leather strand with the gunmetal and anthracite appearing with each twist and turn. Together they give the impression of being speckled throughout in a seemingly random pattern, giving this handbag that eye-catching quality without much effort. Wow, talk about gorgeous! Oddly enough though, knit leather is not a new concept for Diane von Furstenberg. Perhaps you remember the Stephanie Hobo from a few years back? The whole concept is certainly interesting. When I see this handbag, I see something casual for this upcoming fall and winter.
