Don’t miss out on the sale that everyone is talking about! Over at Net-a-Porter they added a few more items to the sale section. And some of the items are marked 70% off retail. Yea, so it’s a pretty big deal. Here are a few of my favorite picks from the sale:

You have got to love the power of the social networking! It seemed like just yesterday, I was typing up one of the juiciest accounts to hit both fashion world and handbag editorials. Today, the collection has arrived! Let’s recap the dealings from last season:
Bag Snob Blogger Tina Craig tweets an offense that was heard around DKNY headquarters. She was simply doing her job of critiquing the smooshy and extra-pleated designs of the Eldridge bag by Donna Karan. Craig’s tweet, which stated that the bag resembled a sea creature, caught the attention of DKNY PR. On the defensive line, DKNY personnel tweeted back “Haven’t you ever taken a picture of yourself that just doesn’t do you justice?” Through the keyboard jabs emerged a discussion which lead to the proud collaboration between Bag Snob x DKNY. Can you say winners on both sides? It was the DKNY firm that provided the production but the Bag Snob women who composed the designs, incorporated by their love of handbags and with real-deal bagista fundamentals in mind.

I just attended my Alma Mater’s homecoming game. Getting dressed for it is always a chore as I’m not a big “fan” of team gear. I typically wear basics and add a spot of my team’s color. Ironically, I have very little of either color in my wardrobe. The second big fashion issue with attending these games is bag related. Taking my big satchel, hobo or other style I own in my closet invariably involves sitting the bag below my seat…or holding it the entire game. Neither is too appealing. With today’s abundance of small cross-body bags and color options, it should be a snap finding a suitable bag for these events! Here’s some great ones for you to consider on game day!
Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Karlie Bag
If your team is a mean green fighting machine, this is the bag for you! 9″ x 5.5″ x 1.5″ with credit card slots, will keep your belongings perfectly with ease for game day. Striking name plate on the front says you’re a fashionable fan. $258.
Rebecca Minkoff Mini Zip Clutch
Edgy zippered clutch with cross body strap measures 9″ x 7″ x 1″. It’s perfect to show you ar a seriously tough fan and it will take you into a night out as well! And it doesn’t break the bank either! $195.

I may have been born in 1985, but I consider myself kind of old school. I miss the days when we wrote letters instead of writing quick emails, using house phones instead of having a cell phone on us at all times, and lastly reading the newspaper instead of having everything on the internet 24/7 now. Some people call me crazy but I really do miss the old times. Technology kind of took old school traditions away from us but I’ll admit it’s made a lot of things easier.

It takes one tough statement and a designer brand Public Relations representative to come across it and you’ll be in for a serious affair if you nail in the right words. This fact is very familiar to the Bag Snob blogging team as they once made a powerful critic that hit DKNY headquarters. After a quick exchange of words and then a friendly makeup, an unexpected result to the civil dispute emerged. Introducing the debut of The Bag Snob and DKNY Limited Edition for Resort 2011. The two groups compiled a collection that followed the theory that every bagista should possess The Five Essential accessories. The fabulous five are made up of The Tote, The Travel, The Treasure, The Trendy and The Clutch; a realistic assortment of the daily fundamentals that should be found in every bag lovers closet.

The cross body style trend is so huge for summer, but there is a con to this style that you need to be aware of.
Earlier this week I witnessed one of the biggest wardrobe malfunction bloopers that could happen. True story..

Chic, soft, studded and squishy do not always go together, but when I first saw DKNY’s newest studded leather shoulder bag, I immediately thought that! A terrific accent to this season’s military inspired designs, this bag has a lot going for it!
The hobo shoulder-bag styling is certainly an easy design to carry. The soft taupe color is the perfect neutral for Fall. A unique mix of antique-brass studs from pyramid to round shapes are placed on a geometric quilted grid all over the body of the bag. A larger stud is placed at the central focal point to define the shape of the bag. I think it’s more interesting than simply placing the same studs across the bag.

Chanel handbags… who doesn’t love them, right? For many bagistas, a Chanel is the ultimate holy-grail. As a poor (and starving) college student, however, owning one of these beauties is something I can hardly even fathom at the moment. There’s nothing wrong with dreaming though! And believe me, I have done a lot of dreaming! Right now I am dreaming of something quilted! But all of this dreaming has actually got me thinking. Chanel is not the only designer out there with quilted leather handbags.
