    Emilio Pucci Dragon Embroidered Satchel

    By BrS · On March 22, 2013

Emilio Pucci has been off my radar lately. I don’t really know why. Perhaps I was just tired of seeing the same old “Pucci-print” over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, the classic prints are nice. I think I just got a little bored with them since they seemed to be everywhere a little while back. But now it looks like Pucci is trying to do something different for a change. One piece that particularly caught my eye was the Emilio Pucci Dragon Embroidered Satchel!

When I think of Pucci, dragons are probably the furthest thing from my mind. I think that is why I am liking it so much though! The dragon looks more like a traditional Chinese dragon. I love the long serpentine body and whiskers on its face. The embroidery is very rich, yet it isn’t overly detailed either. The butterflies and flowers add a nice touch too. They almost look folk-art-ish in a way. The canvas bag is described as a “satchel”, but it reminds me more of a smaller messenger bag. Nonetheless, it is a very cute bag. It would be perfect paired with more casual pieces. I like the idea of a green or navy safari-style top paired with a pair of skinny jeans. This bag would really compliment the look, while giving it a fun little twist!

    Retails for $1749
