I tend to browse my local Pucci retail shop from time to time to feed on the latest prints and colors. Rarely they come simple and neutral, but most of the time Emilio Pucci’s infamous prints are pleasant as always. So it took me by surprise when I ran into the Denim Shoulder Bag, a newbie for fall. On this piece, the Pucci prints were replaced by dark denim lining, and the typical leather shoulder straps by chains. Grommets and links line the edges of the bag while light lambskin leather lines it’s interior. They definitely did a turn around with this shoulder bag, from the material of choice to every punk like detail.

Although this shoulder bag would add a nice rock star touch to your outfit, I have to say, I prefer elegant and fun Pucci prints to this denim shoulder bag. For the fans of this bag, I can see how those link straps fit nicely with the jean theme, and we all know how versatile denim can be. It’s something oddly different and new for the Pucci Fall collection.

So when I first saw this simple solid black patent tote I took a moment to think who the designer could be. There were no distinguishing signature marks are hardware which would point to who the designer was or anything. Then once the bag popped open, (bam!) I instantly knew this bag was created by none other than fabulous Emilio Pucci.

The silk lining interior is dressed in colorful pattern, a design much like what we see from the designers iconic scarf collection.

This super glossy patent tote features dual eye-catching leather handles, which are just the right size to carry on arm or over the shoulder. The mouth of this purse is kept secure with a single easy-access snap closure which pops open to reveal a pretty interior, lined in a vibrant Pucci printed silk lining. More info worth noting: Double handles, 6″ drop. 15.5″ width x 16.5″ height x 1″ depth.

If you want a handbag/accessory that is quite small and can only be used for strictly night time outings, Emilio Pucci has got you covered. He has brought to us probably one of the cutest little bags I have ever seen, the Frame Bag.

The Frame Bag is available in Blue Multicolor and Grey, but I’m sure everyone can agree that the Multicolor is not only gorgeous but yet has Emilio Pucci written all over it. If you know Emilio Pucci well, you know that he is known for his unique and colorful designs that is featured on pretty much anything he comes out with.

One major downfall of the Frame Bag is that it is so incredibly small. I would say with measurements like, 8″W X 8″H X 1″D, it is certain that you can not fit much in the bag. On a positive note, what really struck me about this bag is the hand held ring. Not only can you wear it as a wristlet, but the ring can be detached to be worn as a bangle bracelet.

Other features of the Frame Bag include: a kiss-in-lock closure; interior pockets; and full silk lining.

The Emilio Pucci Frame Bag can be purchased, in either color, at Saks Fifth Avenue for $995, which I can say it not a great buy for a bag that is so small.

Emilio Pucci Coated Canvas Totes
At the moment, my latest crave is a nice beach bag for bathing suit season. I “need�? something roomy, cute and being name brand won’t hurt at all! Within my future beach bag I seek, a durable material that can withstand any type of weather conditions. I also want something I can use year round. As a student, converting a summer bag to a book bag in the fall, would be considered a big plus for me! With that said, I’m leaning towards an all-reliable and good ‘ole canvas bag. You can never go wrong with canvas, they seem to never go out of style and they seem to withstand great with time.

I ran into Emilio Pucci’s Coated Canvas Totes. Personally, I admire his infamous prints. Pucci’s bold patterns and fun hues are always pleasant. Pucci’s designs don’t scream tacky, instead, modern. Its simple silhouette makes this tote a great everyday bag, or better yet, a really hot beach bag. It’s open tote top is also essential for easy access.

You know, I really like the fact that designers are releasing nice canvas bags at a less retail price than their original pieces. Depending at what designer your looking at, their bags are more affordable and for the money well spent, you’re bound to receive durability and a great name brand.

Celebrate Earth Day with these Eco-Friendly Bags!
Happy Earth Day everyone. In celebration of this day, of course I thought it would be suiting to put up a post of a couple stylish earth friendly bags.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Hippy Miss Marc & Penguin
I just spotted these on the Marc Jacobs official website. There the latest Fall 2008 bags from the designer’s second, less-expensive (than his main line) Marc by Marc Jacobs line. Look like Miss Marc has transformed once again to an eco-loving hippy. Very cool. Plus look at that penguin tote, how cute is that? None of the proceeds from these bags go to any organization, but it sure gets the message out – in a fashionable and adorable way.
