Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag
I’m not really sure why, but I have been staring at Francesco Biasia handbags a lot lately. I love their structured, yet slightly slouchy, shapes. I love their eye-popping colors (especially the candy apple red). And I love how they are so reasonably priced. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t discriminate against more expensive designers. But when you’re a college student like I am, you sort of want to have some money left over to buy your textbooks. So I have been eye-balling this Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag for a little while now. It is available in this color that they call Morus. I have absolutely no clue what color Morus is supposed to be, but the handbag appears to be a metallic chocolate brown to me. The contrasting trim and handles, as well as the pewter-looking hardware, really give this handbag a unique look. In fact, I think it would be just perfect for Fall and it would coordinate well with just about any outfit you can imagine. I also love the dual compartment inside, which is a must for anyone who likes to keep their bag organized.
The Francesco Biasia Tess Shoulder Bag measures 17″ x 11″ x 4″ and has 23″ long straps. The flap top closure secures neatly with a large metal clip. It retails for $390.

The Francesco Biasia Dana Bag
Berry. That is what they call the color of this Francesco Biasia Dana Bag. Berry? Nope, all I see is a juicy candy apple red! Mmmmmmm, yummy! And, you know, red is such a great color — especially when it comes to handbags. A pretty red patent handbag, like this one, can liven up even the dullest outfit without hurting the eyes of any onlookers. Personally, I think red handbags are going to be the must-have accessory this coming fall season. And if they aren’t, then they should be!
Aside from its awesome color, I find the overall style of the Francesco Biasia Dana Bag to be quite appealing as well. The pleating and slouchiness offer a nice counterbalance to the brightness of this handbag. The laced handle and tassles complete the look, giving the bag a bit of a tough-girl appearance. This would definitely make a great everyday bag. Just pair it with a black coat and you’re good to go!
The Francesco Biasia Dana Bag measures 12″ x 14″ x 6″ and it retails for the very reasonable price of $388. It has a zippered closure and three interior pockets. Check it out over at Pink Mascara. And don’t forget they offer free shipping everyday on all orders over $150!

Francesco Biasia Happy Daisy Clutch
When I first came across this one, the term “designer-inspired” popped into my mind. Maybe it’s just me, but do certain details on this clutch resemble a specific designer? Like maybe Chanel? The few traits on this clutch that I’m referring to are the quilted upper flap and the interwoven leather and chain wrist strap. These somewhat resemble Chanel’s Classic Flap bags, which have been known years and years for having these same features. Though it’s no shock that other brands inevitably get inspired by high-end, classic, and stylish designers like Chanel.
At least Biasia didn’t attempt to completely recreate a Chanel piece. The shape of the clutch, pleats in the front, and golden slip lock closure are definitely all contrasts to Chanel’s feminine and elegantly innovative designs. So I think I give a little credit to FB for not making a bag that was heavily inspired. But would I wear this clutch? Well, I don’t think I’ll be reaching for my wallet to place an order anytime soon. Though honestly, I do like the overall design, and I think the golen hardware accents the leather very well. So if you are a fan of this one, let me mention a few more details for you: it comes with a 48.5 in shoulder strap that’s detachable, has a brocade lining with a leather bound mirror, and measures 10¾” at widest x 4½” tall at center x 2” deep.
Check out Francesco Biasia’s evening clutch over at Bluefly on sale for $167 marked down from $278!

Designer Bags for $250 or less
You know that you really have a problem when you find yourself smuggling purchases in to the house when your husband isn’t home. I sure have one! Here is my typical post-shopping routine:
I usually put stuff in the trunk of my car and wait until the next day when he goes to work. I’ll go out, gather up my loot, hurry it all in to the house, and fit a place to hide it. If its a handbag, I usually take it out of the sack and place it among my other bags in the closet. Yep, it will blend in there. Right? Oh, and I must not forget to hide the receipts and intercept any bills that could be coming to the house. Now I just have to wait a little while so that when I do use the new bag, I can truthfully say that its not “brand new”.
I think my problem is that I just buy too much stuff in general. I love shopping and its especially fun when I track down a bag I have been craving. Lately though, I thought maybe I need to find a cheaper way to satisfy my urges. Okay, okay, I could just stop buying stuff. But what fun would be in that? So I came up with another solution! Pictured above are some designer handbags that won’t break the bank! That’s right, they are all $250 or less. Best of all, I tried to cover a wide variety of tastes. That means that there should be something for everybody!
So here they are (from left to right):
1. B. Makowsky Splendid Hobo
This leather hobo is made of soft, supple leather and it measures 14 1/2″ x 12″ x 5 1/2″. It retails for $250 and is available at: Nordstrom: Designer Collections and Top Apparel, Shoe and Beauty Brands
2. Juicy Couture Dogtooth Premier Tote
This roomy tote comes complete with a little zippered pouch inside. It measures 15″ x 15″ x 6″ and retails for $250. It is also available at: Nordstrom: Designer Collections and Top Apparel, Shoe and Beauty Brands
3. Francesco Biasia Perfect Harmony Handbag
A canvas and leather handbag that would look great on the beach. It measures 13″ x 12″ x 7″ and retails for $238. It is available at: Citizens of Humanity, T-Bags, YA-YA and More at Pink Mascara
4. Sloane & Alex Snakealicious Self Handled Clutch
Odd name, but a nice little snake print clutch that is available in either gold or pewter. This little guy measures 12″ x 7″ x 4 1/2″ and retails for $245. You can find it here: True Religion Jeans, Juicy Couture, Seven Jeans, Citizens of Humanity at Revolve Clothing
5. Marc by Marc Jacobs Luxe Laminated Swifty
Well, at least you won’t have to worry about this one out in the rain. This little satchel measures 10″ x 12″ x 7″ and it retails for $248. It is also available in orange and is available at: Juicy Couture, Seven Jeans, and More – FREE SHIPPING – shopbop.com
This is also a perfect solution for college students and stay-at-home moms that might be on a tight budget. It is pretty difficult finding designer bags for $250 or less, but as you can see, it was possible!
