Remember when pouch style bags were the hot new thing? They were literally everywhere and in every style imaginable. A large majority of handbag designers were on the bandwagon too. It was crazy! So what do I think about pouch style bags now that the trend has died down a bit? I still love them! And I think I would be less wary to carry one now since the market is no longer saturated with them. That’s why the bag you see here caught my eye. Introducing the House of Harlow 1960 Raine Bag!

House of Harlow 1960 has been popping up everywhere lately. What started out as jewelry that expressed designer Nicole Richie’s love of fashion through many different eras has now blossomed to include other accessories such as shoes and handbags. Over time, House of Harlow 1960 has really started to grow on me. I love the eclectic mix of urban and bohemian style. Just take a look at the House of Harlow 1960 Hayden Clutch, for example, and you will see what I mean.

Clutches are amazing especially oversized ones. When you’re as unorganized and messy as me a clutch is perfect. You can only fit so much in a small pouch and it keeps you organized. Probably not a good thing to admit I’m messy but I am. I’m so unorganized it’s pitiful but at least I an promise that my hygiene is amazing. I just have a struggle with keeping things neat and together but after a while I do get the urge to clean it.

Halloween is just around the corner! It is such a fun holiday, especially the dressing up part! But you don’t have to dress up to get into the spirit of this holiday. It is actually a great time to experiment. My suggestion? Give a Halloween-ish style handbag a try! What’s so fun about this idea is that you can carry something somewhat outside of your comfort zone without feeling silly. It is Halloween, after all! Need help finding something to fit the bill? Simply check out my list of suggestions below. There are four categories and an example for each one. Enjoy!
Halloween-ish Category #1 – Gothic-inspired
House of Harlow 1960 Rey Bag
What is more gorgeous than a bordeaux velvet pouch? I love the Victorian-esque flower pattern on the antiqued frame closure. Plus the extra-long chain strap is perfect for cross-body wear. Definitely gothic-inspired! But don’t worry, this piece is tame enough so that people won’t think you’ve been shopping at Hot Topic.
Halloween-ish Category #2 – Furry
Michael Kors Hutton Box Frame Bag
Still not feeling the fur trend that has invaded practically every nook and cranny this season? This cute little box frame bag is a great candidate for testing the waters! It sort of reminds me of a furry little monster on a chain, perfect for Halloween! I absolutely adore the box chain strap, it’s so unique!

I’ve always have had an obsession with anything from long ago. I think the fashion from past era’s is more inspiring and much more stylish that today’s. Today’s fashion is lovely but I feel fashion from the past had more of a theme and was more put together. I particularly love the 20′s, nothing beats the flapper girl look to me but other era’s also caught my eye.

I don’t own very many but I love clutches! Whether they’re for the daytime or evening I love carrying them around. Mostly because they keep me organized but they are quite stylish too! I especially love clutches that can be carried all day long. It’s lovely to have clutches that are for special occasions but if I can carry it all day long I feel like I’m getting my moneys worth.
I’m currently in love with the House of Harlow 1960 “Tilly” Clutch. It’s edgy and perfect to carry all day long. The black and gold studs make it stylish to be carried during the day, but the studs also make the clutch flashy enough for the evening.

I will admit that I am not Nicole Richie’s biggest fan. When it comes to her jewelry collection, however, it is an entirely different story. I love House of Harlow 1960! The designs are a blend of bohemian, flower child, and tribal influences. So cute and great for topping off just about any casual look. But what I like even more is that Nicole Richie actually wears her own designs! Not all celebrity designers do that, so I think that is very refreshing! That is why I was excited to learn that handbags have been added to the House of Harlow collection! I knew I had to check them out!
