Rosie Huntington Whiteley with her Jason Wu Jourdan Tote
Last Sunday, February 10th, I was one of the women that got up very early to get their hands on the new Prabal Gurung for Target collection. Target teams up with designers to bring affordable collections to the store. They sell out very quickly and I was lucky enough to get my hands on four pieces of the new collection. The collection was bright, colorful and very pretty! Last year, Target teamed up with Jason Wu and I missed it. I didn’t get one piece from the collection. For some odd reason, I didn’t hear about it and by the time I did everything was already gone. I wasn’t going to let that happen this year and I was at Target at 7 in the morning to make sure I was first in line.

Obsessed: Jason Wu Daphne Clutch
The ‘Daphne’ (named after model Daphne Groeneveld) was created inspired by China’s Qing Dynasty. This solid box clutch is dressed in a rich red satin, decorated with a blue and gold embroidery, and accessorized with an oversized black tassel.
Pair it with the Jason Wu embellished lace-overlay Dress and the Marlene studded leather sandals.

I was sort of angry with Jason Wu for a little while. He had that collection at Target and, of course, I didn’t make it there to get what I wanted. Okay, okay… so that isn’t necessarily his fault. It sure doesn’t help that the local news anchor has been wearing the dress I had wanted though. Oh well, I suppose that doesn’t mean I can’t still love Jason Wu’s regular collection. After all, he does make some gorgeous handbags. And one piece in particular has recently caught my attention. Introducing the Jason Wu Embellished Floral Clutch!

Jason Wu, one of the First Lady’s go-to designers has launched a handbag line. With the plethora of designers, old and new, what does Wu bring to the table? Simply put, old world glamour with a modern viewpoint.
Sure, we are seeing loads an loads of frame bags, box bags, structure, structure and more structure, but the Wu bags really do bring a different look to the mix. Impeccably crafted with a touch of whimsy too. I think you’ll find these are eye-catching, timeless and highly desirable for your bag wardrobe.

Jason Wu is a newcomer to the world of fashion. The young (He’s only 28 years old!) fashion designer launched his ready-to-wear collection in 2006 and won the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star award in 2008. He was also nominated for the Vogue Fashion Fund award. But if the name still isn’t ringing a bell for you, he is also the designer that designed Michelle Obama’s inaugural gown. Yes, that gorgeous white dress she wore for her first dance as First Lady! Jason Wu, however, did not stop with his gorgeous garments. Just this last spring, he added handbags to his collection! These pieces feature simple shapes and clean lines. Very chic! And if you ask me, Jason Wu’s handbags are just as gorgeous as his clothing! The collection includes clutches, crossbodies, shoulder bags, and satchels… there really is something for everyone! Below are a couple of my favorite picks, check them out!
