Jimmy Choo Zulu Sequined Gem Clutch
When it comes to clutches and evening bags, there are two features that I absolutely love: Color and sequins. And if it happens to be over-sized too? Bonus!!! So when I saw the new Jimmy Choo Zulu Sequined Leather Clutch, I was simply mesmerized. This clutch looks absolutely gorgeous in the modeling picture. And it looks especially lovely paired with that simple black dress!
I think what I like so much about this clutch is the very interesting use of sequins that was employed. From a distance, the little blocks of color almost look like stones adorning the exterior of the bag. But each of these “stones” is actually a zillion little sequins meticulously sewn into place. Puffy quilting of the leather exterior is what gives these “stones” their three-dimensional appearance.
This is definitely something I have never seen before! And although it looks a bit odd at first, especially when viewing it up close, it really does start to grow on you. Well, at least it has for me! So if you’re looking for something unique to spice up your favorite Little Black Dress, then I would definitely recommend giving this clutch a second look! It would certainly make an excellent conversation piece!
Find the Jimmy Choo Sequined Leather Clutch at Net-A-Porter! It retails for $995.

I like it, but I’m not sure what I would wear with it. It seems like such a flashy evening bag.
Who makes that dress?? I think it’s divine. As for the clutch, I think it’s Fabulous with a capital F!
The dress is by Issa, also available at Net-A-Porter.
I can see myself borrowing this bag from a friend or even Avelle. Not something I would spend that much on because I know I would get sick of it after a couple wears.
I can see this in the sale section in the next couple months.
There’s another version of the Zulu that I’m set on getting. It’s called the Butterfly.
I like this because it’s unique, but I wouldn’t wear it unless it was 80′s night or something. lol.
I was surprised that this is by Jimmy Choo. I thought it looked a bit Marc Jacobs to me.
This reminds me of those really off looking vintage 80s sweaters. lol
That’s a whole lot of money for cheap looking bag.
Wow, some of these comments are just plain rude. Have you guys even seen it in person yet? The picture doesn’t do justice, it’s an amazing bag.
Don’t knock it until you try it…on!
I love this bag. The jeweled effect is so pretty and I think it’d go well with most solid color dresses (black, red, blue). The quilted leather looks anything but cheap!
