When it comes to investment piece handbags, I really like the vintage-inspired styles. In a way, it is sort of like evolution. Through trial and error, certain classic styles have been perfected to the point where there is little room left for improvement. Styles like that are sure to stick around for the long haul and really stand the test of time. So when I came across the Jimmy Choo Sylvia Grainy Nappa Tote, I knew that it was something worth investing some money into. This lovely, vintage-inspired silhouette features these dramatic cut-out handles that are sure to grab the attention of everyone in the room. What I like though is how Jimmy Choo adorned the handles inside and out with flattened pyramid studs. So cute! I also love the gently gathered leather body, which really helps to soften the shape of this bag so it doesn’t look too boxy.

Who will take over has not yet been announced.

When it comes to animal prints, I find myself going back and forth a lot. First I love them. Then I hate them. Then I starting thinking they aren’t so bad. Then I start wondering what I ever saw in them. And, finally, I find myself loving them again. So what’s with all the yo-yo-ing? After giving it a lot of thought, I finally came to the conclusion that it is them… not me. I think it is all in the way the animal print in presented. Sometimes it’s gorgeous and other times it’s just plain gaudy. But what about this latest version of the Jimmy Choo Sky Hobo? When it comes to clutches and evening bags, there are two features that I absolutely love: Color and sequins. And if it happens to be over-sized too? Bonus!!! So when I saw the new Jimmy Choo Zulu Sequined Leather Clutch, I was simply mesmerized. This clutch looks absolutely gorgeous in the modeling picture. And it looks especially lovely paired with that simple black dress!

I think what I like so much about this clutch is the very interesting use of sequins that was employed. From a distance, the little blocks of color almost look like stones adorning the exterior of the bag. But each of these “stones” is actually a zillion little sequins meticulously sewn into place. Puffy quilting of the leather exterior is what gives these “stones” their three-dimensional appearance.

Guess what ladies! Turquoise is BACK and it’s better than ever! And, of course, I am over-the-moon excited about this because turquoise is one of my all-time favorite colors. I especially like it when it is a really bright turquoise, like the color of a tropical lagoon (mmm… I can feel that warm breeze now). It is such a great color when you’re looking for something that will give your outfit a little pop and it is surprisingly versatile. Turquoise looks great with yellow, green, pink, navy… you name it! I also think it looks especially lovely when paired with chocolate brown or black. Oh my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Do any of you ladies remember the Jimmy Choo Project Pep Tote? My good ol’ buddy Marissa wrote about it back in October.

To be honest, I felt as though the bag had been ripped on a bit too harshly. After all, the bag was produced for the purpose of benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Admittedly, the Jimmy Choo Project Pep Tote is a bit flashy and loud. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. But from what I was reading in the blog comments section, it appeared that there were quite a few people out there that liked the bag and felt that it was donating to a good cause. But what if you liked the bag, but you thought the collage look was just a little too over-the-top for everyday use? Well fear not, my friends!
