Cambridge Fluoro Satchel

When I discovered the Cambridge Fluoro Satchel, the Kate Spade Essex Scout was the first thing that came to mind. I mean without a doubt the style is identical with minor detail differences here and there. Also the Essex Scout seems to be on the Out over at the Kate Spade headquarters. It appears that there’s only one available, in a beige crocodile print over at Piperlime for $395 – that price tag is about double, making this Cambridge Fluoro Satchel the ultimate look-for-less.

At ShopBop they have a bright tangerine orange in stock, but over on the official Cambridge website they have so many different options – color and even size. Plus the option of personalization! The in-house embossing service gives you the opportunity to personalize your own satchel. Embossing comes in four styles: Blank (with no color fill), Black, Gold and Silver and costs about $8 per letter with a cap at $32 for 4 or more.

The Cambridge Fluoro Satchel retails for $155 at ShopBop

Does anyone own one of these bags? I am extremely interested in owning one but have never seen one in person. Where do they sell them in the states? How’s the quality?

I don’t want to sound like a snob but the price range is kinda pushing me away. I think the bag looks really cute but the price makes me think low quality. Somebody please correct me. I think the bags look darling!

I would love to see a product reveal and close up pictures of the details. This bag looks nice but the price tag keeps me wary.

I love these bags but wish there was more about the designer on the website. Like who are they? How long have they been around for?? I actually would like to know that type of info :ninja:

I have the regular green 14″ satchel and it’s a wonderful bag for everyday! I regularly alternate this with my other bags (balenciaga, givenchy, etc.) because it’s just so easy and practical to use. For the price, the quality is fantastic. The leather is strong and sturdy; I don’t baby this bag and still looks brand new (I’ve used it regularly the past 7 months.)

If I’m not mistaken, the company has been around for several decades making satchels for school children in UK. They had this info before on the site before they revamped their website. The bag got it’s IT factor after being on Vogue if I’m not mistaken, which made the bag mainstream.

I super recommend you get it! The price point may not be Gucci or LV, but you’ll love using it. Get it in a pop color :D
