Kicking myself for not getting one of new (gwen stefani) L.A.M.B. fall bags back when Nordy’s was having that huge half yearly designer sale. Now those cute bags are marked back to their fullest and even sitting on the virtual shelves of eBay for the full price. Bummer, but still even though the L.A.M.B. purses were marked a couple hundred off a couple weeks ago, the bags are still priced at a reasonable level for what you get. Style, quality and function.

The L.A.M.B. bags were pretty much a hit when they were first introduced. I never snatched one up because those bags are over populating Seattle. Lately everyone and their mom have been walking around with the L.A.M.B. Love Capri Satchel Handbag. Why? Well with a price range of under $650, these bags are hit.

This bag is overpopulating Emerald City! It’s an infestation. I swear every block I turn there is somebody strolling down the streets with the L.A.M.B. Montego Tote on arm. I mean it’s not ugly or anything. It’s just soon as this bag hit store shelves at Nordy’s it seems like everyone and their friend’s mom snatched one up.

Designed by pop-singer Gwen Stefani, the L.A.M.B. (Love.Angel.Music.Baby.) Montego Tote is dressed with a coated logo canvas, trimmed with grained leather, accented with polished golden hardware and topped off with a striped belt that races down the front and back that clamps shut with square double-L buckle. The interior is lined with the striped logo canvas lining with a leather-trimmed zip pocket, a few pouch pockets, and small flap pocket with snap closure. Measurements: 14″ x 13″ x 6″. Price: $550

L.A.M.B. | Love Catania Large Clutch | Viiew!
Designed by pop-singer Gwen Stefani, the Catania large leather clutch with velvet logo insets wrap is available in the colors Black, Stone and White and retails for $375. Alongside the large clutch pictured above is the L.A.M.B. Love Capri Satchel – I love the bag but it looks too (LV) Speedy-ish, and for the price of $550, I would rather get the LV Speedy.

The celebrity fan base of L.A.M.B handbag sporting celebs include Carmen Electra, Sharon Osbourne, Paris Hilton Pamela Anderson, Cameron Diaz, Shirley Manson, Halle Berry and yes even Gwen herself (pictured below). . .

Celebrity | Gwen Stefani | L.A.M.B. Signature Handbag
Fashion Designer / Music Artist Gwen Stefani was been spotted in London a couple nights ago, out for a late night of Italian dining at Locanda Locatelli. Bag for the occasion was a handbag from her own L.A.M.B. line. She named the line LAMB because she called everybody ‘lamb’ (interesting) so it just seemed to fit. Later she made the letters L.A.M.B. stand for Love. Angel. Music. Baby. also the name of her first solo album.

Tim Schifter described the idea behind the collection was to “create something timeless, something classic and with an irreverent twist. That’s why going into the design process, we came up with a concept that we really tried to stick with as we came up with the collection group: style after style, leather after leather. The bags themselves are closer to the European luxury feeling than the American contemporary handbag category. I think they’re highly differentiated but priced in the contemporary. Gwen’s unique personal take on fashion incorporated her signature elements like Rasta colors and the old English lettering. For spring, we’re incorporating velvet into the collection. For this first launch, there are two collections – the Signature collection and the leather collection which is called Love. The reaction has been phenomenal. We were going to launch it for Spring 2007 delivery but the retailers wanted it for holiday.” (thedaily.com)

There are 33 different styles of handbags, which retail in range of $395 to $700. These new bags will make their debut beginning of December. This will be perfect timing for the Holiday shopping season. Location – these bags will be available at stores such as eluxury.com, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, Henri Bendel’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Holt-Renfrew in Canada.

To be honest (sorry Gwen) I don’t really care for this collection. I have only seen those two bags pictured above from the L.A.M.B collection and nothing really stands out enough for me to rush to the Nordstroms on the day of delivery. That being said with out seeing the collection up close – I may change my mind.
