I have never been very enthusiastic when it comes to Lockheart handbags. I’m not sure why exactly, they just haven’t been on my radar. But I know there are a lot of Lockheart fans out there and sometimes I feel like I am missing something. So when I stumbled across the Lockheart Pinwheel Continental Wallet, I decided to give this lesser-known designer a second look. And in case you haven’t guessed, I liked what I saw! Not only does this piece have an unusual design, it comes in some pretty colors as well!
It seems to me that Lockheart has created a bit of a sore spot here at Bag Bliss. First, Deysa wrote about the over-the-top braiding on the Lockheart Cadence. And now, I am bringing everyone’s attention to the Lockheart Shelby Satchel.
What makes a handbag “busy”? Sometimes they don’t necessarily have to arrive with bright colors and bold logos, as even a single toned handbag with excess detailing can be too much for the more traditional bagista. I don’t have much experience with the ultimate unique and feminine designs of Lockheart, but I can’t help but stare at the new Cadence Braided Leather Hobo.
Make that an extra emphasis on the braided part, as the crafty design is found pretty much everywhere. There is knotting down the seams and middle, at the handles, decorating the pockets; anyone feel like this texture was a bit too overdone?
I’m a huge fan of satchels, and pretty much every bag I own is a satchel. It’s very rare for me to say that I actually like a shoulder bag. I carry so much in my purse that shoulder bags just never work out for me. My shoulder’s start killing me, and I have to constantly keep switching sides.
Sometimes I do come across a shoulder bag that I think is absolutely stunning and worthy of some praise. The Lockheart “Holly Leather” Shoulder Bag, is definitely a bag I would consider purchasing.
What caught my eye about this purse, is the star pattern is has featured all over the exterior of the bag. To me, it looks like the bag has flowers all over it and it makes the bag look adorable! Even the medal studs look like the center of a flower.
Being that Summer is coming to an end very soon, bag lovers are looking for gorgeous handbags they can carry around during the Fall and Winter. I think this would be a perfect handbag for the upcoming seasons. It’s grey, big, and definitely has that classic look to it. If you love wearing dull colors during the Fall and Winter seasons, then this may just be the perfect bag for you!

To be honest, I have never been much of a fan of Lockheart handbags. When I think of this designer, I typically think of utilitarian-looking handbags with lots and lots of pockets. And, from what I recall, they don’t tend to have too many feminine details either. Recently, however, it seems as though Lockheart has been exploring things a little bit beyond their realm. Introducing the Lockheart Zip It Alana Hobo. This bag features a very feminine silhouette, complete with pretty rosette detailing on the front. But this bag also has a bit of an edgy side to it as well. Check out that metallic leather and faceted zipper-trim! Plus the shoulder strap is constructed of a twisted piece of leather. Hmm… quite the interesting combo, if I do say so myself! And its small size (13″ x 7″ x 5″) actually helps make this look doable. If this was a large bag, I think the details would simply become overwhelming.
