As I mention over and over again, I’m absolutely obsessed with black leather handbags at the moment. I love pretty much all black handbags but when they feature gold hardware my heart skips a beat. I’m also obsessed with patent leather! Some people love patent leather, some people hate it there really is no in between with it.
When I saw the Lodis Accessories Astor “Cory” Satchel I gasped. A patent leather handbag with gold hardware? Could it be true? To my eyes, thank goodness it was! I don’t think I’ve ever seen an affordable black patent leather bag with gold hardware so I’m in love and drooling at the moment.
Tie-dye made a brief appearance during this past year. It appeared mostly in clothing and it was quite subdued, nothing like the psychedelics of my mom’s hippie days. Personally, I loved this trend and I still do! If you missed out before, I don’t think it is too late to partake in a little tie-dye. There are still plenty of lovely pieces out there and some of them aren’t even clothing! Take the Lodis Grateful Glam Diva Clutch, for example! But wait, I thought these new tie-dyes were non-psychedelic. So why am I envisioning little Grateful Dead bears marching across the screen? Perhaps using the word “grateful” wasn’t the best choice in this situation. And the mere mentioning of the Grateful Dead really makes me sound old!

Congratulations to Isabelle Takahashi! You have a brand new gorgeous Lodis Synergy Lysette Bag waiting to make it’s way into your bagdrobe.
You must post pictures in TheBagForum when it arrives. We are all dying to see photos :)
We here at BagBliss love featuring handbag giveaways, it’s a monthly must. And this month one of you lucky ladies is walking away with the lovely new Synergy Lysette bag by Lodis that we mentioned a couple weeks back.
Lodis only recently added handbags to their line, so this is really exciting news, and would be a great addition into anyone’s bag-drobe. The Lysette Satchel, from the Synergy collection, is dressed in a buttery soft gray leather and comes accessorized with gold hardware. The bag is very lightweight and the design is roomy. It’s the perfect everyday’er.
I love Lodis accessories! They make the cutest small leather goods and they are so practical too! I especially love their framed clutch wallets, they make switching your things from one bag to the next a snap! But today, I was surprised to learn that Lodis also makes handbags. Handbags? Really? Yep! And here’s your proof… introducing the Lodis Synergy Lysette Satchel! Oddly enough though, this bag looks nothing like the small leather goods I have come to know and love from this brand. If I had not seen who this bag was made by, I would have sworn it was by Olivia Harris (Joy Gryson’s more “affordable” handbag line). Not that that is a bad thing, it was just very surprising for me. Once the initial shock had worn off though, I found that the bag was beginning to grow on me. The shrunken leather gives this bag such a nice “broken in” look, as if you had been carrying it for many years. It’s a casual bag that would look great paired with jeans. I love the overall shape of the bag, but I feel like it wouldn’t be very appropriate as a shoulder bag. The straps would be too short if you were wearing something bulky, like a coat. In this case, I definitely think this was meant to be a satchel.

‘Very Hot – Primadonna’ Frame Wallet by Lodis
Wallets are such an important accessory since they house all of your credit cards, money, reciepts, etc. For me, wallets are my second favorite accessory to shop for, after handbags of course. And lately, I’ve fallen for a new wallet trend that I’m sure many of you have seen floating around: the framed-wallet. Shown above is the new ‘Very Hot – Primadonna’ Frame Wallet by Lodis, in gorgeous shades of metallics. These little purses can be used to house your money essentials or they can be used as a clutch. The outside looks just like a clutch while the interior has compartments, credit card slots and even an ID window, which all provide organization just like the inside of a wallet. How great is that? And usually I’m not into bags that are too structured, but I must say that I adore the frame details on these durable little purses.
I could definitely see these sleek little beauties adding some color and fun to any handbag or being used as a mini-purse during an eveing out. They are made of genuine leather and available in pretty metallics such as Fuschia, Sky, Kelly (green), and Violet. And the one I would personally opt for is the Violet. For a reasonable price of $155, you can have a wallet AND a clutch in one.
