The Limited Louis Vuitton Fabrizio Plessi Epi Bag
Earlier this month Louis Vuitton opened up their new largest flapship store over in Hong Kong. For the new store, artist Fabrizio Plessi (a pioneer in video art in Europe), decorated Hong Kong’s new store with huge LED screens that feature molten gold cascading along side golden fixtures & walls. That’s not all for Fabrizio Plessi. The artist even collaborated with LV to create the Plessi digital bag (pictured above). Done in black epi leather, the bag has an LCD screen showing images of the same molten gold image through a cutout LV logo.
This bag is obviously a collectors item, reserved for only the rich and famous. This purse retails for (get ready,) a staggering $50,000 (us).
If your average purse budget can’t afford this limited edition style, don’t get your hopes up, Louis Vuitton has the almost identical Sac Plat tote in black Epi for only $1,290 over @ eluxury

… I really do mean almost identical. Pretty much it’s the same Louis Vuitton sac plat minus being touched by Fabrizio and featuring the LCD screen, also of course the price is hugely different.
I really like the Sac Plat style. It’s a great everyday style. It’s the orginal shopping companion. The Sac Plat was created back in 1968, it was the first bag by Louis Vuitton dedicated to shopping. The size measures in at 14.3″ x 14.9″ x 3.5″. Which is ideal for shopping. Who wants a bulgy bag getting in their way?

I agree these bags are great for work or shopping. My gal pal has one in black and I unfortunate bought a similar one from Gucci which due to bad leather dye is peeling on the inside. : (
^ That sounds awful savvygal. Did you contact Gucci?
Yeah, I totally love the thin sac style. The epi is my favorite because it’s so minimal without looking over the top.
savvygal, how long did you have your bag for? Did you contact Gucci?
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always considered the sac plat sort of a guy bag. Anyone else
I really want the sac plat tote in the new grenade color. Yummy, that would be a delicious spring bag! Not sure if the sac plat is available in that color though..
I would not pay $50k for that bag. Even though it’s limited edition, it’s not worth it.
Not a fan. I would rather get a different bag for that much money.
I just ordered the sac plat. I seriously can not wait to get it. I really hope it fits my laptop.
gag. last time i checked lcd screens were not $50,000, unless this is 1970 or something and i just hadn’t noticed.
I love the Sac Plat in black Epi, but unfortunatly, I waited too long to buy it and now it is discontinued. It is out of stock at eluxury. Can someone tell me where I can still get this bag?

I really don't even like the bag that much... I might have gotten it for a few grand if it were extremely limited.... But that's a lot of money to spend on a bag... Both my cars together didnt cost that much straight off the lot!!!
Love the epi sac plat. It's perfect size for my work folders.
I love the Epi Sac Plat... ...but not so much the Fabrizio...
I don't get the whole pricing around Louis Vuitton products. Of course limited edition is going to cost more, but the bag has to have something special about it for me to spend that much cash. For this bag they just cut out an LV and but a thin LCD screen in.. not worth $50,000. I would rather buy every version in the world of the Sac Plat and get a new tv for my house!
