A couple months ago we here at Bag Bliss informed you about the collaboration project between luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton and artist / photographer Richard Prince, and now the photo’s of this collaboration are finally up for viewing.
Like the lively fresh pastel color variation? Marc-ey Marc’s inspiration: “I’m a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants—and for all I know, so is Rei Kawakubo, because that’s where our color came from!” – Marc Jacobs in an interview with Style.

So let me here it? What do you guys think of this new Marc Jacobs + Richard Prince for Louis Vuitton Handbag Project for spring ‘08? Any of you planning on getting on the waiting list for any of these new purses when the new year rolls around?
Personally, I’m craving the yellow oversized sparkle-framed clutch with the drawing on the front (2nd one pictured) and the lovely blue suede flap shoulder bag with the spray paint layered text technique (5th one pictured).

These bag are so fun and different. I cant wait to get on the list for atleast one of the new bags
omg, Richard Prince even made a sponge bob sqaure pants Louis Vuitton Bag!!!! I wonder if that will be for sale also, lol. or just for mj’s personal collection.
I think this collection is a bit too weird, I really don’t think I would buy and use a bag printed with comics and stuff… Even if Spongebob is real fun
The ones I like most are the 4th (with a white background, that awesome shape and those marvellous handles) and the 5th (blue suede is sooo stylish).

SpongeBob designer handbag? That is pretty awesome in a strange sort of way. I have to admit, I am loving the new styles. They have a fun, sort of eighties feel to them and I think that’s amazing.
