I just wrote in another post about the trends that always seem to resurface each year for the fall/winter season. One of those trends is perfect for the holiday season, but may be limited to a very narrow window of time. I’m talking about sequins! They can be a lot of fun! But you also have to be careful because you don’t want to look like a disco ball disaster either. That is the trick with most trends though, finding a good middle ground. That is why I am loving the Maison Scotch Sequin Shopper!
Why is this sequined tote so awesome? Well, for starters, it is made of super soft lambskin leather rather than thin and flimsy fabric. The sequins are two-tone, black on one side and silver on the other. This creates a great texture, whichever way the sequins happen to be flipped. Also notice that the sequins are only adorning the front side of the bag. While that may sound “cheap” at first, it is actually a really good idea.
I’ve always have had a thing for envelope clutches and wallets. I love that most don’t have a designer name plastered all over them and they give off a sense of sophistication. Most envelope clutches and wallets are usually very simple but stunning. At the moment I’m craving the MICHAEL Michael Kors “Saffiano” Envelope wallet in black. It’s timeless and is definitely a piece I would carry for a long time. I believe, when it comes to fashion, that when something is so simple like a little black dress that it can never go out of style. Simple accessories become pieces that you use for a very long time because chances are they match with a multitude of wardrobe choices, but of course that’s just my opinion.
Cross body minis are everywhere right now. They are the perfect accessory for when you don’t need or want to carry around a bunch of stuff. Personally, I like them when I have to walk a long distance. Sightseeing isn’t much fun if you’re lugging around everything but the kitchen sink. But what about the mini of the minis? They can certainly be cute, but they are only suitable for when you need little more than your phone, cards, and keys. Take a look at the Maison Scotch Mini Satchels and you’ll see what I mean.
