Oh Marc! What would all those handbag-junkies out there do without you in their lives? Your styles are so simple, elegant, and classic. They make up the backbones of many, many handbag collections out there. And here you are, yet again, producing an excellent basic black bag. Introducing the Marc Jacobs Mercer Peet Satchel. According to Shop Twigs, this bag is an example of urban-chic at its best. And you know what? I think I will have to agree with them. This bag can literally go anywhere. It is large enough to use for work or school (yep, it looks like a laptop will neatly fit in there). But it’s not too tailored for use as an everyday, shopping trip to the mall bag. Plus I think the knots at each end of the handles and the cinching at the sides give it just the right amount of interest. What does everyone else think? Would this bag make a great, go-anywhere bag?

The Marc Jacobs Mercer Peet Satchel is shaped more like a tote than an actual satchel. It measures 13″ x 14.5″ x 5″. It is made in Italy of soft, supple, Italian calfskin. It retails for $1,150.
