Mulberry Bio

Widely recognized as the first British “lifestyle” brand and now the last British luxury brand retaining its UK factory, Mulberry was established in 1971 in Somerset, England. With a modest beginning on the shelves of a London fashion emporium called Bida, Mulberry was known for its functional leather goods. In those days, their most popular pieces were the leather agenda and the poacher bag. Mulberry’s true claim to fame, however, came later in the form of two iconic handbags -the Bayswater and the Roxanne seemed to take the country (and the world) by storm. Today, the Bayswater and the Alexa are the company’s most popular sellers.

And now, with Emma Hill as Creative Director, the Mulberry family has expanded to include new renditions of these favorites. The most well recognized of these is the Bayswater, which is both practical and edgy for today’s fashion-conscious woman. Celebrity followers include Kate Bosworth, Fearne Cotton, Sarah Harding, Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, and Mischa Barton.
