I have always loved Gryson handbags. I think it was my Gryson Skye Satchel that got me hooked on the designer. But recently, Gryson handbags seem to have fallen off the face of the planet. What the heck happened? Oddly enough, there doesn’t seem to be a lack of Olivia Harris handbags out there. This is Joy Gryson’s other handbag line, which is named after her daughter. It is known for being a little younger and edgier than the original line. How Olivia Harris compares to Gryson, I don’t know. I am told that fur is the latest thing in a long string of Fall 2010 trends. Fur is literally everywhere right now! Fur coats, fur vests, fur shoes, and (of course) fur handbags. I am interested in seeing how well this trend will do. After all, people have a lot of mixed feelings about fur. Personally, I am not all that in to fur. It just so happens that I have a couple of rabbits as pets and I absolutely adore them. I couldn’t imagine one of my babies as part of a vest or as a pair of earmuffs (although I sometimes joke they look like bunny slippers). But I am going to do my very best to look at this trend objectively. And I am going to start with the Olivia Harris Fur Baby Ball Bag!
Joy Gryson is a talent in the handbag industry that has worked for Coach, Marc Jacobs and started her own line in 2006. She gained a great deal of attention and soon had her handbags distributed in Neiman Marcus, Barneys, Saks and many other major department stores and boutiques. In 2007 Joy introduced the Olivia Harris brand. Named after her daughter, the line is a younger, edgier grittier than the sister line.
