Gwen at War with Forever21

Gwen at War with Forever21
Looks like Diane Von Furstenberg isn’t the only one taking a bite out of inexpensive-trendy fashion company Forever 21. Apparently the singer / fashion designer Gwen Stefani is currently at war with F21 for trademark infringement of her Harajuku Lovers fashion line, in particular, the handbags.

Papers filed in Los Angeles Federal Court claim Forever 21 is marketing, promoting and selling products featuring a design “virtually indistinguishable” from Harajuku’s signature heart & box logo. The lawsuit claims Forever 21 “changed a couple of words, ‘Harajuku’ to ‘Forever’ and ‘Lovers’ to ‘Love’, in the Heart Box trademark which are inconspicuous and likely to go unnoticed by a consumer”.

Well I am not surprised. Have you been in Forever21? All of their clothes, handbags and shoes are designer inspired. Well that can be said for a lot of other similar companies…

If Gwen wants to file a lawsuit against Forever 21, then the Harajuku kids in Tokyo should take Gwen’s ass to court for co-opting their entire youth culture.

I hate forever 21! Everything in that store is a copy of what the designers make. I wonder if DvF won the lawsuit.

Gwen Stefani is just p.o.ed because she realizes her crappy line is boring and overpriced.

Besides, maybe Japan should sue HER for being a bigoted racist and making teenage Asian girls her personal pets.

Amen to that… shame on Gwen… especially when majority of her songs/career is currently a mirror image of the Japanese modernday culture… can SHE get more original!
