Lana Marks Cleopatra Clutch for $250k: Helen Mirren loves it
Every year purse designer Lana Marks produces one stunning Cleopatra clutch for retail. This year’s limited edition Art Nouveau creation gem is dressed in metallic silver alligator suit with 1500 fully cut and faceted black and white diamonds set in an 18-carat white gold frame. Sparkling and glistening, this is definitely a bag that will catch peoples attention at that fashionable event. Also, each of the bags sold is signed and numbered with the limited edition mark.
In the past, Lana J. Marks has grown in popularity among celebrity clientele from political figures to celebrities, such as the late Diana Princess of Wales, Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, First Lady Laura Bush, Oprah Winfrey, Julianna Moore, Angela Bassett, Reese Witherspoon, and Chloe Sevigny. One of the famous stars that recently was lucky enough to hold this Lana Marks Cleopatra Clutch at a recent event was the talented forever-young Helen Mirren.
“Here I am with my purse…” Nominated for her work in “The Queen,” Helen Mirren wore the haute couture $250,000 Lana Marks Cleopatra Clutch at the 2007 Academy Awards Red Carpet (pictured above). These bags are so exclusive that Lana only allows one star per year to carry her handmade diamond studded designs down the crimson carpet, since 2004.
What do you guys think? Is it worth the investment?

pretty piece of arm candy but 250 is alot, too much for me.
So pretty and sparkly. I must resist ;)
I would pass.. thats just because i dont have that kind of money to spend on a purse (250!) If I did then sure, i would invest it.
Just curious. Does she get to keep the clutch? Or maybe she gets a big discount (perhaps half the price?) if she decides to purchase it eh?
