The new Riviera Medium Satchel by Maxx NY presents a great summery twist on a classic and simple framed satchel. So if you’re looking for more of a traditional shape, but also a something that fits into warm weather, this would make a great addition to your collection. Also, this handbag is pretty budget-friendly costing only $188. The Riviera satchel is made of canvas with a snake-embossed metallic trim on the exterior. And besides the shape, the trim is my favorite part of the bag. I think the shiny silver and gold trim adds just enough detail to the bag as I am not a huge fan of purses that are entirely metallic. Also, exotic metallic materials are a hot trend for the upcoming warm months ahead.

This bag is available in green (pictured above), electric blue, orange and black with my personal favorite being the blue. Other features on the bag include decorative buckle tabs at the top with hidden magnetic straps, silvertone hardware, and protective metal feet on the bottom. Also, the canvas is coated, giving off a slight glossy luster, which is a great alternative to regular untreated canvas. This bag has plenty of room for what you’ll carry since it measures 16″x10″x7″. And for your smaller items, on the interior there is a zippered pocket, and two separate pockets for your cell phone an PDA.

Never owned a Maxx bag, so this is one I would definitely have to try on first. :)

That bag is the “green”? I was hoping for a greener shade. I wonder what all the other colors will look like.

Never impressed enough to purchase a Maxx bag, but for a $200 bag I say it’s worth it.
