For those of you ladies out there who haven’t heard, I have a new nephew. He is just barely 3 months old now and he is still so very tiny (a complete opposite of his sister when she was a baby)! He looks like a cute little monkey and, of course, he is very special because his is the only little boy in our family. But there’s just one little problem… he spits up like there is no tomorrow! His mom has resorted to carrying an arsenal of stuff just about everywhere they go. But I was thinking, just because you need to carry around a lot of baby stuff with you doesn’t mean you can’t have a stylish bag to put it all in. Check out the colors on this bag. Normally, I wouldn’t consider an animal print bag, especially one with crazy colors, but there’s something about this Zimmermann that I can’t keep my eyes off of.

Maybe it’s the sweet reminders of a favorite childhood chewing gum… remember those Fruit Stripe sticks, Zebra printed fruity chews with a bonus blue tinted tattoo right on the wrapper? Yeah… this tote definitely brings back some memories.

As one who is not familiar with Bolzano purses, I have to ask off the bat: do any of you have bags by this designer? If so I would love to hear your opinions.

I was just glancing through Bolzano’s homesite and discovered the Roma clutch. It’s one of this simple little pieces that you can have hiding in your accessory closet, then when rediscovered a couple seasons down the road, wont run into risk of being considered outdated. The design is fashionably classic.

There are so many ways, and different occasions to wear it. Which I know is hard to believe for such a little piece. I’m thinking, how perfect is this as a day clutch or wallet. Instead of lugging around a big work bag on your lunch date or coffee break, opt for the Roma. Then when evening rolls around, simply attach the chain and tada, evening bag. Or leave the chain at home, and sport as a handheld clutch.

The frame is a simple continental east-west style with a flap-over pleat detailed closure, topped off with a signature Roma design lock-closure accent. There is an optional chain strap included. I don’t know why anybody wouldn’t want that, since it’s the same price, $160 with or without the strap. Be sure to select that when you are checking out.

Right now it looks like there’s 4 different versions to choose from: pebbled Black, lipstick Pink, winter White, tangerine Orange, and for the exotic in you, a black and beige Python pattern.

Who doesn’t love options? I was approached by a sales associate at my local Saks outlet and was asked if I had seen their latest arrival, the two-in-one handbag (she must have barely spotted them). I was familiar with the style since a couple of tBFers proudly own the famous City Tote by Foley + Corinna, but I hadn’t experienced what a great style it was in person.

Our friends at ShopBop and their wonderful sales have both the City Tote by Foley + Corinna and the Post Q Tote by Un Apres-Midi de Chien marked down in the sales section (only selected colors on the City Tote). This is just one of the many examples of designer inspirations and competition.

Foley + Corinna with its original design features a zipper up front when expanded and nice pebbled leather, while Apres-Midi’s version consists of bubbly nylon and faux patent leather trim. From pure description it’s quick to note that one style definitely differs in price wise than the other. Both feature double rolled handles, multiple pockets and the handy detachable shoulder straps. Since I’m not the greatest fan of nylon handbags, my vote goes to the original City Tote. Which is your pick?

One of the latest handbags to hit my collection (besides a Louis for Louis trade with a fellow tBFer) caught my eye from a sales shelf. All bagista’s can relate when I say that buying a great bag on mega sale practically makes your day, just hope there’s not bundles of duplicates or else it’s not as enticing. The BCBGMAXAZRIA Leather Frame Top Satchel was the last of it’s kind, sitting pretty on the marked down shelf at my local BCBG Outlet. Lovely silhouette, pretty leather, a ridiculous sale price… and so I grabbed it! I’ve always admired frame top handbags, just never believed they were for me, but this BCBG proved me wrong. I adore it, it’s so chic, elegant, and definitely classy. One of the questions I had in mind was how well do BCBG handbags hold up with time, as it would have been my first. But with a 70% off its original retail price, I didn’t hesitate to take my chances and so far, so good.
