I’ve always been into the edgy, rocker chick look and when I can find a handbag that reflects that style I’m instantly in love. It’s even shocking to me to be able to still find lots of bags that feature studs on them! It seems like the “stud” trend has been in for quite some time and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
The Temperley London “Celest” is the perfect bag to go with an edgier outfit. I’m loving that is features two different types of studs and that the shoulder strap is removable. To me, this bag would look so much better as a clutch! I think there is way too much going on stud wise for it on your shoulder and under your arm.

Alice Temperley specialized in fabric technology and print while she attended Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. This fundamental focus, is evident in her handbags and designs. She has a very loyal fan base including Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The detail and patterning of this hobo caught my attention right away. I love the simple twisting of the handle. The tiny studs provide edge, but are not so overwhelming that it’s going to be out of style the minute after you purchase! Interesting arched zippered pockets on both front and back sides make a statement that provide a lot of style and function simultaneously. And I simply adore the tiny studding detail on the zipper pulls! It’s simply not overdone but just done right!

Here’s an example of old meets new. If you look into the history of the handbag, you’ll discover that the first noted handbag-like accessories arrived in a pouch-like shape that usually dangled off the waist with an opened top fastened by drawstring pulls. Popular by both men and women, these cloth or leather goods were later adorned by gems, dyes and other colorful textiles. Today, the drawstring pouch bag is quite common, but it seems like this season it is more than ever.
