Tods D-Bauletto Media
It’s no secret I have a special affinity for Tod’s Bags. My first high-end designer bag was Tod’s and I still have it! It’s quite worn though and I’ve been looking for a replacement. 2012 will be the year I do just that.
It is not well known but Derek Lam is the creative director of Tod’s and since he took over, Tod’s is revealing a more modern design aesthetic. Yes, it’s still classic and tailored, but more modern too! I’ve had my eye on the newly re-designed D-Bauletto Media. There are wonderful neutral shades like tan and winter white but I found it in cobalt blue (my favorite color) at a Sak’s in Palm Beach this October. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pick it up at the time, but it’s at the top of my bucklet list.
The cruise collection features this bag in a beautiful dark rose, cream off-white and rich black along with tan.
The bag featured rolled leather handles and fits comfortably on the arm. There’s a long strap for shoulder carrying as well. It features minimal silver tone hardware. The primary design features are the edging and topstitching along the seams of the bag adding a subtle tonal element It’s quite roomy featuring 15.5″ x 10.5″ x 6″.
The price-point ranges from $1625-$1845 depending on the finish.

Is that your bag? It’s so pretty~~
Has Tods increased their prices over the years? I thought they retailed for much less than that.
Anyone else think that Tods is going to be the new Hermes. lol
I agree. It’s really classic and will last the test of time.
I love Tod’s shoes and bags. They are the best thing ever.
Right! I have 4 pairs of shoes by Tods and wear them like every day. So comfortable and classic.
Tod’s is not the new Hermes…but that being said, they make well-made, beautifully crafted bags. I own some that are 10 years old that I go back to over and over again. Classic styles that look as good today as they did the day I purchased them.
