Dooney & Bourke Quilted Spicy Shopper

‘Tis the season for some of the hottest trends and appliqué to hit the handbag and accessories world. Whether you’re a fan of the furs, sequins, the extra glitz and glamour or in this case, the fluffs; we’re equally welcoming all seasonal items and pointing out the most interesting ones.

There’s a list of designer names that come to mind when I think about the classic quilted pattern. I never thought I would associate the All-American brand of Dooney & Bourke with the lady-like selection of quilted pattern. Seriously, I would have never guessed D&B as the maker of this piece. One feature Dooney & Bourke has dropped (or forgot to add) is an exaggerating logo or dangling charm declaring its name. Instead, a concealed duck logo is centered against the puffy fabric, which we actually prefer to the juvenile hearts that D&B has associated with for years. This tote arrives with lengthy adjustable straps so you can throw over the shoulder with heavy coats, a coated fabric finish, and black leather trimming; making this an ideal plush-piece to carry throughout the fall and winter season. I’ve got to say that this is a nice change to the Dooney & Bourke family; certainly not my cup of tea, but it sure is interesting and fairly priced at $198.
