Dooney and Bourke | Croco Baby Briefcase
Dooney and Bourke is not exaggerating here, this Croco Baby Briefcase is truly miniature in size – dimensions 7″ length x 2.75″ width x 5″ height. I don’t know if you can really classify this as a briefcase as far as the measurements go. I mean really, you can’t even fit a notebook or a file in there.

This briefcase comes dressed up in croco fabric in your choice of Amber, Black, Brown T-Moro, Crimson, Taupe, or honey. Features of this Croco Baby Briefcase include the two inside pockets, inside zip pocket, adjustable (detachable) strap, and the signature Dooney and Bourke lock and key with fob. Now for the price, oh yes the price, this little guy can be found via Dooney.com for the price of $245. Imo save your money, get a bag (or briefcase) that is more functional.

Dooney & Bourke | Bumble Bee East / West Flap | $185
New from Dooney & Bourke’s – The Bumble Bee. Yesterday in the forum somebody pointed out this new Bubble Bee line by Dooney & Bourke, and let me just say I was speechless. What can I say, I love it. Just look at it, cute little bumble bee’s flocking around on your backpack or shoulder bag. This would be perfect for school right?

Wrong! Okay, the last couple sentences were completely wrong, so please disregard. While this bag is not appropriate for my style, I do think that it would be cute for the younger generation (saying that makes me feel old) in the elementary school crowd. Really though, who is their target consumer these days? There is the Doodle line (color crayons meet the handbag), Star line and Heart line (both look like color pencil sketches of stars colored in), the Tattoo line and Tartan line, ect.

Sorry Dooney & Bourke but your collections have not been my cup of tea these days (coming from a young 22 year olds perspective).

Dooney & Bourke | Anniversary Sac | $275
Today is a new day. Ending the long lazy trend of exercise-less days, I went out for a nice an easy 4.5 mile run. Yes, that is a bit much for someone who hasn’t ran for such a long time, but what can I say – I was in the zone. I realize that late night 2:am hotdog and pizza eating (thank goodness for fast metabolism) isn’t very healthy, and not exactly the key to living a long healthy life. That was the main reason for me to get out jogging today. The first day is always the worse. I am hoping that I can keep up with running or at least some sort of exercise, I don’t think walking to Nordstroms or to the downtown shopping district is actually considered to be a productive exercise. It is only 4 block away.

For all you gym goers, have you discovered the Dooney & Bourke Anniversary Signature giant sac? This collection is available also available in the super small size, for all those light packers. This D&B giant sac is my favorite of this collection. It’s big enough to use as a travel or gym bag, just through your stuff in and go.

So my internet friends over at Dooney & Bourke were nice enough to inform me that they have a new spring 2006 catalog out that’s filled with fashionable new bags. So here are some random pics that I admire.

If you have had the chance to browse through this catalog, then you may have noticed this new Bubble collection is one of the newbies.

What can I say? I guess the bag is growing on me. It’s kind of spunky and creative yet unique and a very different bag.

Dooney and Bourke
The newest not so lovely bag is this new Dooney & Bourke “Bubble” Medium Tapered Tassel Bag. I don’t know how to say it nicely. . but Dooney and Bourke you are on my ugly list. I don’t get it with the Dooney and Bourke designers, why are all of their bags an eyesore. I mean first there was the Star and Heart lines that looks as if someone drew with a coloring pencil a bunch of stars/hearts and then colored them in with crayons. Then there was the Doodle line that combined crayon like shading techniques with the Dooney and Bourke signature name. Now there is this plain Dooney & Bourke Bubble Line. The design is so simple and boring – bubbles with the D&B signature – this line is ready for the middle / high school aged population.

I mean really, I know this is my own personal taste but I have come to realize that the only bags that I truly like from Dooney and Bourke are the bags that do not have any D&B logo – such as the Vintage and Metallic Nile lines.
