Normally when I think of Frye, I think of shoes. Well, more specifically, I think of boots. I mean, who wouldn’t though? Frye has a rich history of putting boots on the feet of soldiers dating clear back to the Civil War! In fact, they claim to be the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Now that is impressive! But Frye has become so much more than just shoes and boots in recent years. They make some really neat handbags as well! And seeing the handbag pictured here reminded me of that. Introducing the Frye Heather Bucket Bag!
This is such a cute, yet casual style. I love little bucket bags anyway, but this one really stood out to me. The rich brown leather has horizontal slits that resemble the wooden slats on window shutters. Woven through those slits are brightly colored leather strands. The colors carry over into the grommets and tassels as well. The overall look is very playful and looks somewhat Southwestern-ish to me. It would look adorable paired with a floaty cream colored blouse and skinny blue jeans. It has a long cross body strap, perfect for those lazy days when you don’t need a large handbag.
