Jason Wu Jourdan
Jason Wu, one of the First Lady’s go-to designers has launched a handbag line. With the plethora of designers, old and new, what does Wu bring to the table? Simply put, old world glamour with a modern viewpoint.
Sure, we are seeing loads an loads of frame bags, box bags, structure, structure and more structure, but the Wu bags really do bring a different look to the mix. Impeccably crafted with a touch of whimsy too. I think you’ll find these are eye-catching, timeless and highly desirable for your bag wardrobe.
The snake embossed cross-body is one of these bags that grabs you with one feature, in this case, the amazing color, and continues to pull you in the closer you get. Sleek, clean styling finished with a simple but well crafted chain strap are bold and welcome after an era of over-embellished, hardware-heavy handbags. The flap closure is finished with a simple rectangular silver bar engraved with the designers name. Small corner appliques subtly cloud shaped finish the edge of the bag and soften it’s hard shape.
When we open the flap covering, we are welcomed with a beautiful gray grossgrain lining, a bold patch of snake embossed pockets, an interior zip pocket and a magnetic closure pocket on the front of the bag. It’s size is surprisingly roomy at 10″ x 7.5″ x 2.75″ . I think you’ll find there’s room for all you need for a day to evening look.
At $1795, you might be surprised to find this bag is embossed and not real snake. However with it’s high level of craftsmanship and the added benefit of not having to worry about delicate snake scales, you’ll find it a welcome benefit. No more worries about how often you can carry it! And of course, those of you in California,, don’t have to worry about whether or not you are skirting the law with its ownership!

I love the look of this bag but to be honest I’m not really into bright colors. Like a grey or black would be fab
