Windsong Brands buys Carlos Falchi
Just in: The deal is set. Windsong Brands LLC has bought Carlos Falchi.
WWD has reported that Windsong, who already has brands like Ellen Tracy, Caribbean Joe, Joe’s Jeans and Field & Stream under it’s belt, has high hopes for the Carlos Falchi label. Their goal within the next few years is to turn Falchi, which currently brings in $10 million and increase it to $20 to $30 million within the next few years. Additionally there are plans to extend into men’s accessories and even a leather jacket line.
Falchi will act as chief designer and creative director, and will no longer be involved in operational activities. He will conduct more personal appearances and focus on merchandising.
The signature line with exotic skins starts at about $1,000 and goes up to $40,000 for a large alligator satchel. The average sale is roughly $3,000. Leather bags range from $400 to $800.

I love carlos falchi bag, but they are so expensive.
Hopefully I’ll find something at the sample sale.

So they expect to double their sales in the next couple years?
I wonder what they will be doing differently, and why they forecast such an increase in profits while all other designers are seeing a decrease. Wonder if price reduction or another line is going to be considered.
