Long ago, in 1837, Thierry Hermes began the delicate craft of making leather items for the saddler business. Saddles with a quality design and material were among the first Hermes products, and yet a visit to the famous Hermes store in Paris today will show you that the company still produces the finest collection of saddles, leather riding accessories, horse blankets, bridles, whips and riding boots that exists in the world today. One of its early designers was Lola PRUSAC. It’s first women collection was shown in Paris in 1929. The Hermes scarf was introduced in the early 1930s. The handbag made famous by Grace Kelly in 1956 was actually first manufactured almost 20 years earlier in 1930.
