Kooba Hadley Satchel – available in leather and ostrich
Started in 1998, Kooba came onto the scene with the goal of designing handbags that are unique and enhance a woman’s style. I believe they continue to achieve this goal with bags that get noticed but do not become the focal point of your ensemble. Their bags are well-priced line with yummy leathers and unique styling.
Many of Kooba’s early bags featured a whipstich detail that gave the bags a casual, dare I say, “western”, edginess. The new Hadley Leather Satchel is the more grown-up and sophisticated cousin of these bags featuring their yummy leather and attention to detail! Kooba just keeps getting better!
The Hadley is a darling leather satchel that would be perfect for everyday whether you’re in a sophisticated pencil skirt or run-around weekend jeans. The leather is softly-crinkled, pieced and pleated forming a triangular pattern that is interesting and chic! Elongated zip pockets enhance the styling on this bag. Handles are rolled which makes them so comfortable to carry and there’s even a removable shoulder strap when you need to be hands-free!
This bag also features a top zip closure, satin lining, an interior zip pocket, cell phone pockets and key clip. I always think the key clip is a neat feature but never use one! I wonder if anyone else does? I always like to see it there though!
Hardware is dipped in 14K gold and there’s an interesting zip detail around the bottom of the bag. With all of these features, you might think there could be too much going on, but I love how the geometric styling all blends together perfectly for a great go-to handbag!
This bag measures 6.5″W x 12″H x 4″D and has a 6″ or 20″ drop.

I like both of the materials, but the leather is most favorable.

You are right that Kooba is improving every season. My choice it the turquoise piece. I love the zip detail on the bottom. It makes the bag much more interesting. The key clip is a nice addition as well but I dont see myself clipping the keys there. It’s a perfect bag for everyday use.
Too small for me to be an everyday bag, but I do love that turquoise and brown.
I ordered the onyx one, but now I think I should switch my order to one of the ostrich-embossed styles. I think my decision would be easier if the onyx was available in ostrich.
Kooba is my favorite designer when it comes to contemporary bags. This one is on my must list.
Is it just me, or does the little detail on the tassel look alot like a pop top?
