Even though they were always on the pricey side, I’ve always loved the Juicy Couture lap top sleeves. Anytime I find designer accessories that has to do with technology in some way, shape or form I usually fall in love. Some designer “technology” accessories I have eyed have included the: Ed Hardy and Juicy Couture flash drives; Marc Jacobs lap top sleeves; Coach mouse pad; and Louis Vuitton iPod cases.

I admire their discrete labeling on their accessories, as well as their chic, timeless and simple designs. Heading towards the science building at my University today, I dreadfully watched a fellow student drop her notebook computer from her weak grip under her arm. Poor notebook… it must have been new too as there was absolutely no case protecting the gadget, or maybe she just never felt the need to invest in some cushion for it.

Having that in mind, I browsed Net-A-Porter to see what tech cases they currently have in stock for one of man’s most trustworthy portable devices. Surprisingly, only two choices are available at the moment that’ll be the Into the Wild Case presented by Marc by Marc Jacobs and the Taffeta Laptop Case by Anya Hindmarch.

Both have similar concepts yet very different designs. I adore the funky leopard prints and the raspberry color of the MbMJ twill case; it’ll make a fun case to add to your casual wardrobe and definitely some arm candy to wear on canvas.

If leopard and multicolor prints aren’t your style, settle for the luxe-tech Taffeta bag. This purple and patent trim features a gold signature interior, tassel pulls and an exterior pocket labeled “Bits and Bobs”; it’s simple, cute and definitely classy.

Brand new for Fall 2009, I present to you the Treesje Port Travel Tote! This lovely tote features unique, debossed port detailing. Who says anchors are a Spring-only motif? I really like the tone-on-tone effect it creates, it is definitely not something you would see every day. And, of course, I just love that gunmetal color. So pretty and perfect for Fall! It’s such a versatile color too, you could wear it with just about anything. So why were my eyes so drawn to this tote? I mean, besides the fact I think it’s gorgeous. Will the lovely bRs be taking a trip sometime soon? This tote certainly would make a great overnight bag, but I have another idea in store for this bag. I’m suspecting that the Treesje Port Travel Tote could easily double as a work tote. It’s certainly large enough (17.5″ x 14″ x 6.5″) and it even comes with a detachable shoulder strap. This tote could easily hold a laptop computer and computer sleeve, along with a few folders or binders. And it would look so smart paired with a fitted, black wool coat and sexy leather boots. So check this baby out and see why so many TBFer’s are crazy for Treesje!

While I was shopping yesterday, I saw a woman carrying the Louis Vuitton “Monogram Sac Plat.” I was never a fan of the “Sac Plat”, but hers really caught my attention. It wasn’t as tacky as it looked in stock photo’s and kind of reminded me of a market bag. I could totally see some woman in New York taking this bag to a local market and putting the loaf of bread she bought inside it.

I browsed the Louis Vuitton website and saw that the “Sac Plat” is also made in the Damier canvas. I’m a huge fan of the Damier Canvas, because it can make any Monogram handbag look much more classy and sophisticated.

In my opinion, this bag is would be great for a business woman or just any woman that carries a lot of papers. You could easily put books, notebooks, or folders in this bag and you would never have to worry about them getting dented.

As for the outfit, a suit or pencil skirt with a matching blouse would go amazing with this bag. I can’t really see doing the whole casual look while carrying this bag. When I see this bag, it looks like more of a work bag to me more than an everyday bag. If I was out of college I would consider purchasing this bag because it would be a fabulous accessory at any interview.

The Louis Vuitton Damier “Sac Plat” can be purchased at Louis Vuitton for $1,060. Seems like a bit much for a bag that doesn’t even close at the top, but it still is stunning. Whether it’s for work, or everyday use this bag would look great in any collection.

Anyone up for a skunk fur leather bag? Umm… no thank you. I apologize to any fans of this particular bag, but I’m morbidly shocked at how horrid this handbag is. Did the House of Fendi seriously have to ‘kill’ (no pun intended) the classic look of its latest Peekaboo tote by throwing on a pelt of skunk fur onto this bag? If they sought to create a classy rich leather bag adored in an exotic choice of fur, I say they failed miserably. Besides the not so attractive furry bag appearance, I can’t decide if I dislike this bag for the fact that’s it’s sporting a dead skunk on it or because it’s made out of skunk! Right off the bat, there’s an unattractive feeling towards this bag filled with reminders of how bad skunks really do smell. I say Fendi should leave the rodents to American Folk leader Davy Crockett to wear, as he was possibly the only person who could have pulled this look off.

I can honestly say that for once, anti-fur and fur industry supporters unite and agree that this Fendi piece sure does stink!

The Chat: Fendi Peekaboo!

Brand new for Fall 2009, the Marc Jacobs Rockabilly Shoulder Bag is one bag that really caught my eye. This bag is just so unique and gorgeous, I couldn’t help wanting to go in for a second look. The bag is constructed of laser-cut leather, pieced together into a swirled pattern. Even the side zippered pocket follows the curves, creating an interesting-looking opening where the fuchsia satin lining can peek through. Oddly enough, however, when I first saw this bag I thought it had to be a Marc by Marc Jacobs piece. But don’t be fooled ladies! This piece is actually from the Marc Jacobs Collection line and it comes with the price tag to prove it!

But wait just a minute here! What exactly does the word Rockabilly mean and what does it have to do with this handbag? For those of you that don’t know, the word “rockabilly” is a portmanteau of the words rock (as in rock ‘n’ roll) and hillbilly. It was one of the earliest styles of rock ‘n’ roll music and it had a great influence on the music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and many others. Now I’m not sure exactly what was going on in good ol’ Marc’s head when he designed this bag. But I can say that the swirls do give you this feeling of rhythm, something that lies at the very root of rockabilly music. However, I think I’m going to leave it up to all you Bag Bliss readers out there to come up with your own interpretations. It’s much more fun that way!

This Bottega is definitely way out of my price range, as it would easily cover a good year and a half of my college tuition. For the fortunate ladies who can obtain such a piece, this timeless and elegant shoulder bag sure is stunning. This luxury handbag comes in caramel hued crocodile leather, which is different from your typical brown or black croc skins, yet the color is neutral enough to match with practically any color of clothing. Plus the slouchy hobo style is practical enough to carry through day and night; I don’t see how this style would be uncomfortable to wear.
