Celestina Woven Silver Filigree Clutch
Ever since I wrote about the Celestina Red Abalone Shell Clutch I have been captivated by this designers gorgeous and unique pieces. The tiny little evening bags are nothing short of being works of art. They are admittedly a little bit impractical in most cases, but they are so absolutely stunning it’s hard to resist not buying one (even if it would only be to look at!).
Recently I stumbled across this little jewel from Celestina. It’s called the Woven Silver Filigree Clutch. The body of this clutch is constructed of thin strips of sterling silver that have been woven together in a basket-like fashion. The front of the clutch features a gorgeous filigree centerpiece mounted on a wooden base. I love the overall shape of the clutch, like a delicate little pillow. And like most clutches by this designer, it comes complete with an adorable little mirror inside. The clutch opens up into two halves, sort of like a canister. This little beauty would certainly make a wonderful conversation piece, even if it spent most of its time sitting inside a glass case!
The Celestina Woven Silver Filigree Clutch measures 6″ x 5″ x 1″. It is composed of 75% sterling silver, 20% kamagong, and 5% filigree. Find it at Net-A-Porter, where it retails for $1,695.

Hey BRS or anyone else out there, I was wondering if you could help me. I think this clutch is adorable, but what could you wear it with?
This is absolutely stunning. But I would never buy this. My life is far too simple for such a glamorous piece.
Kelly, I think this would be really cute with any dress. I’m thinking of something blue!
I think it’s interesting, not something I would wear though.
Kelly, I think this clutch is really unique. It would look stunning matched with a colorful summer dress.
Kelly, the Net-A-Porter website has this clutch pictured with
a model wearing a dress from Temperley London. The dress is sort
of a Greek goddess toga style, but I imagine you would wear this
clutch with just about any glamorous dress.
What an interesting clutch!
intersting concept.
This clutch looks like a fancy pillow!
Interesting design, more art than wearable fashion. The filigree
reminds me of the really intricate ivory work they do in Asia.
Maybe they should do an ivory version next? ;) (fake of course)
