The new school year is already in full swing for most everyone. But that doesn’t mean it is too late to look stylish this year. Designer handbags are becoming more an more popular with the younger crowd. There are a lot more teenage bagistas out there now than when I was in high school, that’s for sure! So what is a fashion-conscience high schooler to do when it comes to looking fab with her school books in tow? Snag a backpack from her favorite designer, of course! There is a huge assortment of styles currently available, so finding the perfect one should not be a problem. Looking for something a little more affordable on a teenage budget? There are plenty of those to choose from as well. If you’re still needing a little help or you are shopping for a special young bagista in your life, don’t worry. I have some helpful suggestions listed below!
Marc by Marc Jacobs Pretty Nylon Knapsack. $198
It is MBMJ and it is super cute! What more could a gal ask for? I love the soft jumbo quilt pattern that spells out Marc’s name. I also love love LOVE the color, which is called Bauhaus Blue! Gorgeous!
Cambridge Satchel Company 15″ Satchel Backpack. $205
Feeling a bit vintage-inspired? What better way to feed that inspiration than with a classic Oxford and Cambridge school bag-inspired piece? It is a bit boxy, but perfect for carrying around a small laptop or tablet.
Herschel Supply Co. Chevron Heritage Backpack. $55
You really can’t go wrong with a canvas backpack. Sturdy and durable, it is perfect for holding your books and other necessities. Plus I think the print on this backpack is super adorable. The classic chevron pattern has been updated to give it a more upbeat vibe.
Fjallraven Kanken Backpack. $75
Originally known as a “camping backpack”, Fjallraven focuses on making durable and breathable pieces. This backpack has sort of a luggage-like feeling to it, with its structured sides and padded interior pocket (presumably for a laptop). It is simple and chic and the logo is really cute.
