Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Pearl

I love a great doctor’s bag as much as anyone and this darling Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Leather Tote has lots of great appeal going for it! I don’t know what I love move the cute rolled leather handles with the 4″ drop or the softly-rounded, boxy shape.

The dimension of this bag are 9″ x 12″ x 7.5″. It’s close to being as deep as it is tall. This creates a little different proportion than we are used to seeing. It’s a bit chubby, but that’s it’s appeal. The softly rounded corners keep it from feeling to rigid and proper. This allows it to have a bit more casual appearance.

Luscious black leather is subtly accented with gold rivets and Marc by Marc Jacobs block printed logo. The magnetic patch pockets on the front and the back are one of my favorite features. I love that you can put your key and cell in the back pocket easily and they remain accessible. No fumbling around!

The interior is roomy and features a fun brown and cream ikat floral print. There’s a zip pocket and two patch pockets as well. Like most of today’s satchels, there’s a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap with a 20″ drop.

The most prominent feature is a large leather luggage tag on the front that is detachable. I’m not sure I love this aspect, so I would probably take it off and attach it to one of the hooks on the side of the bag. But that’s just me. For $458 this bag has a great deal of style at a reasonable price.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy is available at Shopbop

Shoulder strap is definitely needed especially while shopping. The top handles are too short to even fit into the crook of your arm.
I love the bag and the inside print. Even though I don’t gravitate towards black, I would have to go with black. The brown is a little weird looking.

I think the front tag looks a bit off to me. I guess the normal would be on the side or zipper pull, so I’m just use to seeing that.

I love the design. It’s simple yet elegant. More like for nurses or doctors if I’m not mistaken. Or merely just professional ladies working in an institute/office.

I love the whole look of this bag, but without the travel tag.

It’s just a little too boxy for me.

Really cute, except the tag could be much smaller.

It actually reminds me of the Chloe Aurore in black in terms of shape, color, hardware on the handles . . . it could be a good substitute for the Aurore at a much cheaper price. If I didn’t just get the Aurore I might like to get this instead!

The leather looks very nice quality, but I definitely prefer the black over the brown (agree with the other poster about the color being off)
