Oh Marc, how I love your handbags! What can I say, Marc Jacobs just makes some of the most gorgeous bags around. And his Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags? I normally love everything about them. They are so fresh and retro at the same time. Plus they are casual-looking, which is more my speed when it comes to an everyday bag. Now that I have said how much I love Marc’s stuff (and please don’t take offense Marc, I really do love your bags)… I’m going to have to say “Marc, what were you thinking with THIS bag?” Oh dear, this bag just doesn’t give off the typical Marc Jacobs vibe.
So what’s this bag called? It’s one of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Sloane Bags called the Softy Colorblock. Now when I think of the Sloane Bags by Marc Jacobs, I think of a square, retro-looking satchel. Well, I guess that is what this bag is. The problem is, I’m not too fond of the fact its multicolored. And the colors? Not my cup of tea either. Actually, it sorta looks like a shrunken gym bag. What does everyone else think? Would you carry this bag?

Sorry BrS, but can I disagree with you for a second.
First off left me just say I don’t like the colors of this bag for right now, too fall-winter. Also I feel this bag does embrace the “typical Marc Jacobs vibe”. Not right now, but I’m sure this bag will be a hit when fall rolls around. The only thing I would change about this bag is the straps.. how could Marc get rid of the super squishy, totally comfortable shoulder straps! Those were a dream.
PS. I love BagBliss, you guys are awesome. :)
I should probably note that this is not the picture I was looking at when I wrote this post. LOL! This picture was found by another tBfer and it actually makes the bag look somewhat more attractive. Is it the lighting? Take a look at the picture with the item description over at ShopBop, you’ll see what I mean.
