March is over… which means Summer is just around the corner! If you are anything like me, then you are already buying shorts and tank tops in anticipation. Never mind the fact that I won’t be able to wear them for at least a couple more months, I just can’t help myself! But there is one thing that I can buy in anticipation and would still be able to make use of right now. Yep, you guessed it! Summer-ready handbags have already hit the store shelves and they will help you through that awkward transition from cold weather months to warm weather months. That is why the Marc by Marc Jacobs Isle De Sea Tina Straw Tote has caught my eye!
This tote is made of traditional warm weather materials – straw and rope. What I love about this tote is that it doesn’t scream Spring and Summer. So you get that carefree feel without it looking like you’re already heading to the beach. In other words, it is perfect for the beginning of April. I really like the unique use of the straw too. The straw was used to create little tufts all over the front of the bag, almost as if it were a fabric with a bit of a nap to it. The sides feature a thin rope that has been woven into a stripe pattern. Together they give this tote a whimsical and playful look, yet it is subdued enough that it could be worn as an everyday handbag.
