Marc Jacobs | Quilted Denim Handbag
The new Quilted Denim collection from the Marc Jacobs delights my emotions to the extreme. When I see a designer come out with a quilted fabric I generally stay away. However, Marc Jacobs always seems to unite the right fabric on the right bag to create an exquisite piece that is everlasting to the Marc Jacobs signature.
There are many unmistakable characteristics of these bags that differentiate this collection in its own terms. Depending on the bag chosen, it will come either with a super glamorous chunky brass chain strap or a simpler rolled leather shoulder straps, perfect to carry under the arm. I personally hate it when I have to fidget to keep a bag on my shoulder. The bags in this collection help diminish the uncomfortable stigma by comfortably resting right on your shoulder. The Banana bags (13 1/2″H x 16 1/2″W x 4″D) have two slanted exterior zip pockets with large metal pulls with leather ties. The Venitia (12″H x 16″W x 4″D) is adorned with two outer pockets with the iconic signature push locks, and a wrap around belt that vertically swoops around the middle of the bag.
The satchel bag (13″H x 6.5″W x 8.5″D) is much smaller with an east-west like shape. East-west handbags are shaped longer in width than in height.
I personally like the light blue denim preferably over the dark denim bags. The light blue denim is decorated with light blue diamond quilting with soft white trim, which gives off a fresh soft vibe. The not as glamorous dark denim diamond quilting is decorated with yellow cross-stitching and rustic orange trim.
At this moment in time, the bags from this Marc Jacobs collection are available to you in washed denim (light blue) or dark denim (dark blue).
